Online Piracy -- Seizing Domain Names

I recently decided to try to find a movie I saw when i was in Jamaica a few months ago. Still cannot find it, but this is what I did stumble upon.


I posted this in the wrong forum before, but I believe I got the appropriate one this time.

I didn't see anyone post the first example of a site literally being shut down, and drum roll please....

The first step into censoring the internet, seizing domain names through a legal warrant.

I actually came across this same site... it went down over the weekend. used to be a favorite for "previewing" movies... to bad they shut it down...

Well...the laws the law. Can't say I'd blame them for shutting it down, assuming its a US based website-or the servers are at least in the US.

i have also seen some websites with this announcement . Whether TPTB uses this to close down political website is an interesting question.

Shouldn't ICE be PROTECTING OUR BORDER.....


OMG I'm not saying it should not have been shut down, I'm saying dish that off to another department so these Jack**ses can do thier job and stop illiegals

I saw that too... Bummer, I used a similar site to watch old movies I can't get where I live...
