Suggestions for road trip

Me and my friend were thinking about taking a road trip, or w/e to go see all kinds of things, maybe interview people, just find out what we can. Maybe make a documentary if it turns out we can get anything worth seeing, but I'm not sure where to go. Of course area 51, but I'm sure there's alot better places than that. And we'd like to see more than some camo guys outside in trucks, or something. So anyone got any suggestions? Depending on what we get we'll either release it on the internet, or see if we can make a documentary type movie out of it, but my hopes arn't too high about getting anything too good other than some amature footage right now, as we don't know where to go, and can't see us finding anything new.
