What's the use of this in a post-tank world? America doesn't plan on replacing the m1a3 Abrams for a reason. Tanks are obsolete.

However, the M82 has 300 more meters in effective range. However I'd close that to a 100-200 meter range, seeing as both snipers from both nations
are skilled for longer ranges.
And the American XM109 effectively puts all of them to rest. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.
All this really ers at me to make a post about the American Army being upgraded.
All our conversations here are revolving around 1989-2005 technology, which the US has already outdone and is upgrading.
My honest bet is a war by 2016, when the US has concluded its current upgrade phase.
