Daughter of Mossad Head: I refuse to enlist in the Israeli military

I'm Muslim, and have to say this is brilliant news. This is the peaceful side of Israel everyone wants to see flourish, just as everyone wants the peaceful side of the Muslims flourish. This is a good step to that.

Just goes to strengthen the point that it's Israeli's government, and in particular only certain factions, that we take issue with, not the majority of Israel's people. We need more like her and the IMF soldiers who have spoken out over the years to keep it up. There's great hope in the fact that she's strong enough to see around the propaganda and rise about the fear instilled in the people and using reason, logic, and facts gained from personal experience to view what is going on there and then speaking up about it too. to her!

Good on her about bloody time we here something positive about the people in Israel nice find.

This is true... It is part of a growing movement in Israel. My daughter said she will not serve either, and even though we no longer live there, she still supposed to serve as an Israeli but she wont. Niether shall my youngest kid.... The only Israel my family will serve is a righteous one.... Not this charade calling itself Zion...

There is a day of reckoning coming when the basic common sense this young woman is expressing will eliminate the radicals.

Does everyone on ATS hate Israel? Most all of the countries surrounding them have vowed to wipe them off of the face of the earth. They try to defend themselves and they become the bad guys. If they become passive they will become exterminated.

How very courageous of her this could be the start of something truly remarkable. To be able to look beyond what has been shoved down her throat since she was born and verify the facts for herself is truly great.

That is very impressing, especially considering the "position" this woman is in. Israel is a society of soldiers and soldier support structures.

They are occupying a freign land and slowly trying to force the Palestinians out so they can take the rest of the country by force, in doing so have created concentration camp for the Palestinians. What a brave young lady. I'm glad to see that she saw the light. She also hints at the indoctrination that young Israelis receive and I think that's important to realize because it explains why Israelis are so quick to just follow orders and oppress other human beings without losing any sleep.

Of course, I have always known that many Israelis are against what their government is doing to the Palestinians. It's sad but I bet America has much more support per capita for Israel's atrocities than Israel itself does.

Good for this young lady and I wish her all of the best, though I think she is wrong on the pacifist agenda. Pacifism will almost always fail as long as your opponent is willing to use force against you. You don't want to be caught taking a flower to a gun fight. You have to fight fire with fire, or at least a healthy dose of water.

It's funny how they attempt to make NON LETHAL rounds sound as if her life was at risk.

Just a spoiled brat that didn't get enough attention from her father and she is now making not only him pay but Israel as a whole. They should force her to the front lines so she can see how much she is hated by the Pallys.
