A rear window, awning type, perhaps partially opened at an angle which could easily reflect a speaker mounted on the firewall.

Nope. That can't be it. No bottom frame.

If it is the back window, then the driver is in the wrong lane!

Hahaha, true enough.

I was just thinking, if this is the upper left corner of the windshield then whatever is reflecting would likely be around where the cup holder is.

I am quite convinced that this is not real. Everything in the photo is blurry-as it should be being that it's taken going pretty fast and that it is taken by a camera phone. BUT THEN, that image of the craft is not blurry at all... Seems kind of fishy to me.

I also think it is intersting that she didn't SEE the craft while driving, she just took a picture of a hole in the clouds. And she STILL did not see the craft on her phone until after it was uploaded. That photo minimized in size still shows lights in an odd pattern.

*sigh*

The symmetric light/dot pattern is still perplexing though, regardless of any of the good speculations I've read so far.

If the object really is in the clouds, then it wouldn't be blurry. The clouds are too far away to get the blur effect. Experiment with this yourself. Go drive down the road and take a picture of the clouds. Do they blur? No, they do not.

It's kind of hard to pay close attention to your camera/phone screen or things in the sky when you are driving 55MPH down the road. I can't tell you how many times I've noticed something out of the corner of my eye while driving, but couldn't look at it closely. It's situations like that where I'll take my camera and point it in the general direction of what I saw, click the shutter, and hope that I got it.

Is Mulder the skeptic, now?
No, seriously, you got some imagination...
It's more difficult to accept the idea that it's a "coffee mug"... Than an Unidentified Flying Object.
Looks Unidentified to me and guess what? It's in the air (Flying maybe?).
And, well, even a coffee mug is an Object if I'm not mistaken...

I agree that it can be done. But if that was done here, they are really good. The pixel doubling is perfect, and I do not see any of the tell-tale signs of blocking. That's not to say that it isn't a PhotoShop hoax.

I was responding with the premise that this is a real object, or an accidental hoax (ie. reflection, misinterpreted object, etc.) If it is a real object, UFO or otherwise, those lights/dots become interesting. If it's a PhotoShop hoax, then all bets are off.

But again, none of us can be too sure without knowing a little more.

In my opinion the UFO phenomenon is not quite what people generally are thinking it to be. For most people, especially on the fringes of UFO research where in the persons are young or new to the subject, the UFO phenomenon is always thought of as being aliens from the stars. However, my opinion is, after long years of looking into the subject, that the UFO phenomenon is a ghost manifestation along the same lines as the paranormal. This is especially apparant in the area of UFO abduction. Now if I say that the lights on the "UFO" are actually BALL LIGHNINGS that have formed into a pattern due to their relative electro-magnetic voltages and ampages and frequency, you will think that that means that it is "natural" and thus not a UFO. However, what is a UFO ? What if the BALL LIGHTNINGS are actually the physical manifestation of something that is primarilly not physical ? What if these BALL LIGHTNINGS are possessing a consciousness ? Such that they are observing you as you are driving along the road ? This one photograph by it self would not prove much, but since the beginnings of photography there have been no end of such annomally, such that there is a real phenomenon that requires our attention, and we do need to find explanations that science can accept. My opinion is that this picture is of a group of "angels" going about their day. Others might not want to refer to them as "Angels" which is why they use the term UFO. Others might prefer the term "Fairy" or "Orb" ? These manifestations are the environment being full of higher dimensionality. Electricity and gravity and magnetism are all manifestations of that higher dimensionality, the "paranormal" environment, as it interacts with our "normal" environment.

To illustrate my point I include here a video which was made just by accident. At the time the person saw absolutely no strange phenomenon, but after uploading the clip to his computer he discovered the manifestations. The original Russian page is here > Angels < and the YouTube page is here > Angels <

This amazing video were sent by pastor Igor Shvedov.

Amateur video has unexpectedly photographed angels. On the screen, visiting angels of one of the apartments of an apartment house is visible. Afterwards, we found out it appeared at the time in the house a child has died. Angels are behind the soul of the child.

Video is taken in the city of Semipalatinsk (Kazakhstan).

See & belive!

Thinking out of the box...

Imagine this - or similar chromed example - reflected off the inside of a windscreen

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/1083f322864a.jpg[/atsimg]

You can pick out a shape protruding off the "ufo" if you look carefully.

Of course, I may be wrong

My problem with that is this. There should be two blurred ellipses as well and as far as i can tell, there isn't.

As for faking well... it would be wholly possibly to add the whole sky including shape as one pic to that of a shot through a windscreen and match the pixal count. Laborious yes, but perfectly feasible. There's a technique a friend who does graphics showed me where. You take the original picture separate out the interior shot and exterior shot and then you can pretty much, do anything you like. Once rejoined as one picture it's virtually undetectable at anything than the highest resolution on a pro monitor.

The upshot of which means that. Until we get two pictures of the same event from totally different sight lines that can be corroborated, no picture taken nowadays, can ever really be declared 100% genuine.

I've so got to get one of those Jeeps that come with an in-built passenger shower.

I can say this, it's not a smudge like some people here are trying to explain it as. Looking at the object for just a short while says it's probably not some smear. What is the point of such an explanation that doesn't seem to be founded in observation?

I don't know if it is real, but seeing as how there is a lot of motion blur on the exterior objects, I just don't know. But we do have image doubling on the object, but the image doubling seems to be in a different direction than the other blurred objects, like the trees. Doesn't seem quite right in that respect.

People do go to stores, and buy replacement parts you know.

Assuming thats a reflection, it could be lying on the front passenger seat, or any seat in the car.

Eliminate the mundane first. The spectacular should always be the last thought.

I was joking. It could be a shower head, but that wouldn't really explain the lights.

It's the lights that are perplexing here, not the shape of the object (which could be explained by a dozen things).
