agreed, we have become our own jailors
we sweep and keep our cubicles clean
Our children have been mortgaged to the transnational corporatocracy for a generation
That is beyond indentured servitude, that is slavery.
Meanwhile let's print more paper currency to bail out rich bankers without conscience
leaving the bills for those who live in our future.

You ARE in Corporate Prison...whether you are willing to admit it or not.

I will end my rant....although I know I could go further...my brain is so full of facts that I could go on forever.....but what is the point...you probably stopped reading after the first paragraph anyway........

Keep in mind that it's not really because no one cares that nothing much is being made about the problem... it's simply goes down to the problem that even though many people know how this world got really screwed up, they have no clue of WHAT TO DO to get out of this mess. It's like the whole 9/11 truth thing... most of us know, by now, that 9/11 was an inside job, it's just that we don't know what to do with it, aside from losing more trust in the government.

They either need to connect with people who have a rationale that's consistent enough to get them out of there, or else to follow the next leader who's gonna lead them out od despair into a war, a revolution, or a murderous totalitarian order (like what happened with Hitler or Stalin).

People don't realize how bad it's become.

My daughter is getting ready to turn a year old. Recently I went shopping to maybe get her a few toys......and was on a trip to Walmart (Chinamart).

I looked at Disney toys....MADE IN CHINA... ALL of them.
Fischer Price toys....MADE IN CHINA...ALL of them.

(Virtually the only thing I found that wasn't made in China was SLINKY...remember SLINKY???)

Those are very American companies...what isn't more American than DISNEY?? Yet they too are employing slave labor to make MICKEY MOUSE....also.....DISNEY OWNS ABC.....hmm...I wonder why they don't push to trade our trade policies? And it definitely does not end with ABC....it's all of them.

His another tidbit I'll share....My grandmother bought a flag to put on my grandfather's grave on the anniversary of his death. As she was setting it by the tombstone she happened to notice a small tag on the flag that said...

MADE IN CHINA.

AMERICAN FLAGS MADE IN CHINA!?!?!?!? WHAT THE HELL??????????????

Agreed...too much of our "production" has been sent over seas to slave shops.

Here's one for you...

Ever eat an Almond Joy? Yknow, the candy? Pretty "American" candy bar, if you ask me.

Well, what most people do not know is this-

The "Almond Joy" was never made in any other building then the "original Cadbury" building in Naugatuck Connecticut. For generations, Almond Joys and Mounds candy bars were ONLY made in a single building in a single town (every single one since their invention in 1946)...if you ever ate one before 2 years ago, you ate one from my town.

That factory supported thousands of workers and hundreds of families. Hell, it was the "life's blood" to my entire town (and the towns surrounding it).

My mother worked there for over 30 years, raised her two kids off of that factory.

Well, two years ago they fired everyone and removed the factory so they could send it to China (and Mexico)... Hershey didn't care about the lives they ruined...just the dollars they saved.

Our town collapsed because of this...and why? Because it was cheaper to move the factory to other countries were workers will work for "nothing".

So...if you noticed your Almond Joys tasting a little different, its because they are no longer made with American hands in my town...

Hell...like I said...you are preaching about people being unaware here...I think you are 10 years too late for "ground breaking news".

Everyone who pays to survive knows damn well who owns this country now.

Perhaps you listen to the "children" and their silly views when you assume "people do not know the truth here".

I assure you...most of our nation is aware.

Democrats are socialists and communists. They want the government to be their NANNY and take care of them while only the Elite among them prosper and profit. They control the poor and the weak with social programs designed to keep people down instead of allowing them to be lifted up.

Republicans are freedom lovers and Capitalists. They believe everyone has the right to be what they want to be in the scheme of things meaning that if you want to be a millionaire, you can be. They don't like big government and like to control Corporations through laws.

Truth is they're all crooks and con men. Our government is corrupt to its core and no one gives a damn about it or is willing to do what is necessary to change it.

Read your post here... You assign a FALSE motive and qualities to both which only helps perpetuate what the OP has laid out. Your thinking and assessment does not capture the brevity of politics, in turn you perpetuate the felonious dialogue that keeps
America locked in the vaults of stupidity.

First words provides a grand proclamation! Democrats are represent the ruminants of Americas 50+ year old mortal enemy, USSR...

I can speak for myself as a liberal, progressive, commie worm that you do not have the motive right, instead you stick to the easiest dialogue to bolster your position, unfortunately you do not seem to care enough to rid yourself of the distortion you inflict on yourself.

I can speak for many "commies and socialist" that I know, the intended goal is to use government as a way to address things we do not like in society, that is the base of it.
A "nanny state" is a great way to demonize and immaculate, it is also a way to keep your self ignorant, you do not care to examine anything and you will remain small as long as you allow that mechanism to filter your entire world view.

It is true that welfare and moderation will create abuse, un necessary cost and disfunction.

It is also true that if money is the only guide, everyone becomes a slave to money;
IMO a manifestation of freedom that is devoid of any humanity, life is not a business, life has created business.

Ultimately if it makes me against freedom to believe that there is more to society then just money, competition and position, then so be it. If the state of freedom was intended to stationary, we would NOT have representative government or means to address things thru government...

Is it perverted

YES

Is the nature of business to reduce cost, gain, jockey and consolidate power over others, at the expense of others

Yes

both extremes create tyrannical situations

Government is artificial power

Money is the embodiment of power

These are the two forces will RULE humanity for the rest of our days

Corporations utilize BOTH - not subject to law like a man - not subject to hunger like a man

They are disembodied beings of Artificial Power that use economic power to perpetuate
their goal of more power in both senses- artificial and embodied - influence AND capital.

It behooves all of us to stop looking a this fictional creation as HUMAN -

As a commie scum I want to be free to do as I please, achieve as best I can and at the same time, not become a slave to the system that provides my ability to do so.

I have an idea.

Since the outsourcing of jobs to foreign Countries stops the production of our own, and renders us dependent upon all of these Corporations to sustain ourselves; and in so doing we are invariably enriching another Country...or at least a select few of another Country. We should make it a law that the outsourcing of jobs to foreign Countries is nothing short of economic treason, and any Company caught purposefully crippling the American people simply to make more money can be swiftly and justly punished on these grounds.

Out of curiosity, Dave, are you familiar with the "American School" of economics, which was the system we had before the free market transition we had under Woodrow Wilson?

The American School/The "National System

It was based on the ideas of Frederich List. He has some interesting followers from some unexpected places, to say the least!

That raises an excellent question...why isn't it ALREADY economic treason?

I'm sorry but if we can't even buy AMERICAN FLAGS OR AMERICAN FIREWORKS ON OUR OWN DAMN INDEPENDENCE DAY THEN WHY IN THE HELL DO WE EVEN HAVE A COUNTRY?!?!?!?!?!?

This is what amazes me about GLen Beck...who I often hammer. He goes on and on about communism...yet he completely ignores all of BIG BUSINESS and their outsourcing to slave labor COMMUNIST MARKETS LIKE CHINA to make a profit for their SHAREHOLDERS.

Why in the hell isn't that hypocritical SOB talking about that? Why isn't he talking about how Rupert Murdoch, HIS BOSS and owner of FOX NEWS, owns media in CHINA and SAUDI ARABIA and ENGLAND. He's Australian born. He owns number tabloid magazines in the US. He's not even a natural born US Citizen and has only been a legal citizen for 20 something years...yet he is allowed to own a MAJOR US NEWS MEDIA?

1. protecting industry through selective high tariffs (especially 1861–1932) and some include through subsidies (especially 1932–70)

2. government investments in infrastructure creating targeted internal improvements (especially in transportation)

3. a national bank with policies that promote the growth of productive enterprises.

This sounds great....why aren't we doing it?

Why aren't we doing anything for that matter? It's no secret people...low tariffs made our jobs disappear to china and other similar countries.

Yet people are too busy repeating the rubbish in corporate news media.

Hmm - I don't know if your depiction of ATS'ers is entirely accurate.

I think most people understand that it is through corporations that everything is run - government, education, law - even prisons and so on.

I do hope that people stop using anything to do with large corporations - it is the first way to attack the system - especially loans, and credit cards - just don't pay.

The corporations however are controlled by people - and it is this shadowy group of c-nts who are actually in control of everything.

I agree with every point you made. Of all the forums I've seen over my 20 years on the Internet, this one has the most aware bunch of people I've seen. There are exceptions, of course, but not many.

As for the shadow government, I'm absolutely convinced that it exists, starting with billionaire banker elites conspiring to control the media, buying politicians, manipulating government and fixing the game to take more and more from the middle class and keep it for themselves.

I read your entire rant. I call it a rant because instead of being thoughtful, encouraging, and providing us with the most facts you hurt your case by being insulting to everyone here. You probably do have some really good points to make but I am going to be honest. After reading your post the only thing I can remember are the insults.

This sounds great....why aren't we doing it?

Simple... the corporate elite wanted more control. Contrary to popular belief, Woodrow Wilson was not as left-wing as people fancy him to be. He virtually assured the rise of the corporate establishment through the creation of the Federal Reserve (ran by private banks with little to no congressional oversight), single handily created the military industrial complex though bringing th US into WWI and the War Time Industries Board, and the overall movement into free market economics. However, I don't disagree with everything Wilson, and his intellectual successor, FDR did. Their dedication to social programs was remarkable, and FDR's proposed, yet little known, 'Second Bill of Rights', is really something else.

I am also a fan of a lot of Teddy Roosevelt's policies, with which you can truly mark the beginning of the Progressive Era. He proposed a plan called New Nationalism. Under New Nationalism, high tariffs were maintained, and the government heavily regulated the market by breaking up monopolies in order to allow more competition between smaller companies.

It is really silly that the conservative talking heads paint these people as communists - they were really the products of an era that believed heavily in the sanctity of the marketplace. And somehow people like Glenn Beck forget that we used the American School, whose economic ideas found their way into the economic policies of Nazi Germany and post-Mao China!

Great thread! However, it fails on one critical point - YOU are a corporation!
Yes, you read that correctly - YOU ARE A CORPORATION!!! Everything you do is considered "Trade" and your entire life is governed by the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). And, to add insult to injury, you embrace this system with zest and vigor thus insuring your indentured servitude for your entire existence. The only way to change this system is to completely foresake it. The monster feeds on your compliance. The only path to vicotry and freedom is to starve the beast!

I think the first thing we can do active is to no longer buy luxury stuff we don't need. The system is #çed up beacause it has to grow endless for the damn wallstreet, just like cancer.

Stop buying cheap #.
Stop buying handys and pc's all half year.
Stop buying SUV Cars
Stop buying Stocks

And on the emotional / psychic side:

Stop hate
Stop greed
Stop Intolerance
Stop being an Idoit

Start being more nice
Start ask question
Show respect for all the people, also if they think different.
Start feel the truth
Start being self critical

Let good feelings flow in your environment, be nice and fair and this planet can be a paradies.

But when I look around, I have the feeling that:

1. You don't want live in a paradise if you can not eat meat 21 Times a week, or drive an SUV

2. It's just too late.

This comment is RIGHT ON the money correct and an excellent summation.
The problem is that the international corporations that have taken the US over could give a damn about american made this or that. If we raised tariffs or other similar strategies they would simply have the goods sent elsewhere (Europe and the BRIC countries are huge markets). What we need to do is stop buying # we don't need with money we don't have.
And stay the hell out of debt (to the corporations).
Then everyone needs to only buy necessities from corps that behave appropriately and responsibly.
Just IMHO.
