First Amendment suspended in the Gulf of Mexico as spill cover-up goes Orwellian

I am left mostly speechless at this point. Sure they have 65 feet on paper, but that can always be amended or changed as they see fit.

Not only that but the “clean up” can also move closer to keep other at bay. I can honestly see the approaching part if you were actually interfering with the work being done, but even at 65 feet that is not the case.

This along with 26% of Americans not knowing who we fought to get independence makes me rather sad. I say without doubt we are screwed. There is no turning back, too many just no longer care.

Utterly disgusting what is going on in society today.

Do you really think that Obama is in charge? Really? How is he doing anything different from a supposed rival Bush?

Why does no one see that the president is nothing more than the fall guy, the scapegoat, the face man for those who are really in charge.

If Obama were in charge and doing what he promised to do things would not be moving as they are. He and the presidents we have had for some time are nothing more than charlatans, snake oil salesmen, and actors that speak with a forked tongue.

If we could truly have a government for the people, by the people, and of the people we would be far better off. Instead we have nothing more than a sitcom that is not funny.

If he is not in charge what good does it do to remove him? They would just put another puppet in his place. If we could find and remove the real policy makers I believe we would. But sadly to many care for nothing more than American Idol and their sports team, the rest of us are stuck in some horrible Twilight Zone episode that will not end in a half an hour.


I even doubt the public put him or his predecessors there to begin with.

The sad thing is even if the average American does have their say in the average politician, many are too stupid or preoccupied with mindless drivel to care to do the right thing.

What does that leave the rest of us (the minority) who do care? We are screwed. There is no way out of this nightmare aside from the obvious escape (death) and I hope that comes in a natural way.

This is the sort of stuff that makes me feel as if I am standing in a cavern deep in the earth screaming for help with no help coming because there is none.

That would be great if it worked. But I think that elections are ridged so that they get the people in power that they would and all the voting in the world does not make any differance. Think about it. How did these people get in power in the first place? How do they stay in power no matter what they do?

Don't know if this was said, but picture's taken with the (snip) booms improper placement could be the problem.
You know when someone is acting like they know what they are doing but they really don't.

Holy f'in WOW. I've been marginally supportive of Obama, but if this is true he should 100% be brought up on charges for Impeachment and Treason. This is genuinely unbelievable. I hope to God press from mulitple network team up on this to collectively at once violate the unconstitutional to call their bluff and get this out in front of every American and the courts ASAP. THIS, without any doubt and for real is tyranny of the first order. If the press tolerates this I'll be shocked.

Is this really anywhere close to a "suspension of the First Amendment"? 65 feet is less than half the distance across a football field (American football that is). My living room is about 35 feet long! 65 feet is just over 4 car lengths. Hell, the zoom on my cheap cell phone camera can take a decent picture at that distance. I'd be willing to bet a large sum that ol' Anderson Cooper's CNN provided travel trailer or motor home is close to 40 feet in length.

Honestly, I haven't seen these type of cleanup operations first hand, but I'm betting if you are within 65 feet, you're probably getting in the way and hindering progress.

I think there are plenty of things to be more concerned about, over the spill and the poor response by BP and the Fed.

Does anyone know how to get a hold of Anderson Cooper or any other MSM reporter??

Now would be a perfect time for them to do an investigative report into the FEMA coffins, prison camps, and their plans to suspend the constitution in time of marshall law (probably right around the corner).

Maybe if somebody with enough clout asked the right questions, at the right time, on the right channel, people might pull their collective head out of their butt long enough to catch some air.

It sickens me every time I drive by a BP station to see every gas pump occupied by someone who either does not know what is going on or simply by someone who does not care.

I know that it will never happen, but isn't it time for the U.S. government to take over this disaster and its borders and expel BP and take over the clean up operations?? Just goes to show you......
