It occurred to me that Europeans and people of European decent love to shake hands. No other major race shakes hands because it's the quickest way to spread disease. Every country that Europeans conquered they brought disease with them. We contaminate ourselves and the environment by simply shaking hands.

It's time to move on from handshaking folks.

Or we could just wash our hands.

Simply breathing spreads disease. Should we stop doing that, too?

Tons of other ways to spread diseases. Like kissing hands or sharing pipes. Not just white people man. See for yourself. Happy 4th of July weekend.

Another way is breathing.
Now that's a thought that needs careful consideration.

Sorry-failed to notice somebody got there first.

Ever seen how the Russians give big old wet kisses right on the lips? Holy mackerel. Imagine Putin coming at you all puckered up. Doesn't bear thinking about.

Ew. And Sarkozy. Both he and Putin could only kiss my elbows though, such little gnomes are they. lolol

But seriously, stop shaking hands? Is that really all you have to think about? Disease? How about "grow an immune system, lad". Seems like a priority worth considering.

I'd like to think the opposite.

Because Europeans shake hands, their body is familiar with all kinds of germs.
So the only people getting sick are those who do not shake our hands in return.

I think

The OP makes a good point. I guess it's time to start bowing like the japanese. Seriously though I don't shake hands. Why risk getting the flu or herpes. And not everyone washes their hands after using the restroom.

That reminds me, I must start a thread named: "Start washing your hands Indian's and Sri Lankan's!"..... (because they never do!)

You can tell a lot about a person by their handshake.

I despise the wet fish handshake. It is not a reassuring shake.

A firm, strong handshake and a smile is very important in making good first impressions.

Being short and medium size I like to shake hands very solidly to show that just because I'm small I'm not weak.

I do keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer in my purse and use it as soon as possible after shaking hands.

The handshake has a long history and deserves it's own thread.

Yeah, the "wet fish" is annoying.

But you know what? I find the "let's see who can grind the other person's hand-bones in a deathlock and maintain maximum tension without giving in first" handshake even more annoying. Its like some purile lockerroom manhood thing.
