Leviathan (pronounced /lɨˈvaɪ.əθən/; Hebrew: לִוְיָתָן, Modern Livyatan Tiberian Liwyāṯān ; "twisted, coiled"), is a sea monster referred to in the Tanakh and the Bible. In Demonology, Leviathan is one of the seven princes of Hell and its gatekeeper (see Hellmouth). The word leviathan has become synonymous with any large sea monster or creature. In classical literature (such as the novel Moby-Dick) it refers to great whales, and in Modern Hebrew, it means simply "whale."

You Mean this one?

Giant Predatory Whale Named For 'Moby Dick' Author

LONDON - Scientists have discovered an ancient whale whose bite ripped huge chunks of flesh out of other whales about 12 million years ago — and they've named it after the author of "Moby Dick." The prehistoric sperm whale grew to between 13 and 18 metres (up to 60 feet) long, not unusual by today's standards. But unlike modern sperm whales, Leviathan melvillei, named for Herman Melville, sported vicious, tusk-like teeth some 36 centimetres (14 inches) long.

Well it's YOUR thread, shouldn't you be the one presenting US with some data on it?
Just sayin', know what I'm sayin'? That's a pretty interesting thread title but that's pretty much all you've got - a title.

Theres a source, although it was also on the televised news.

Apparently it was 43 feet long with gruesome teeth, could this be the leviathan we have always heard about?

I saw this on discovery.com this morning. The skull, approximately 12-million-years-old is approximately 10-feet long. A giant among giants for sure!

The Leviathan is just a fictional beast - like the dragon or the unicorn.

Also, finds like these aren't uncommon - here - we are finding bigger and better prehistoric marine reptiles all of the time.

Still, it's a great find for archaeology.
