Amen to that. How many poor saps is Mr. Moore giving his "hard earned" money to out of the goodness of his heart? Probably not many. Granted, his hatred of Bush and co is probably genuine, but there's no way he's just out there to spread his propaganda. He knows that making a big stink out of this will make him moore money.

He's almost as bad as the "Bush crime family" in my eyes. You hardly know if what you're hearing is even truth. It's all part of an agenda. Whether it's Bush's or Moore's, all you're hearing is information spread by people with a certain agenda. I dont know if everything Moore tells me is true, and I really have no reason to beleive any of it is true. He's been known to cut, paste, and edit things to put different slants on how the story truly goes.

I had proposed the question and criticisms, but it went ignored and unanswered. So there it is for you again...

WHy should a man be faulted for making money AND exposing the truth? Furthermorte, I saw "The Awful Truth" this past weekend. Its a show that he had that exposed the corrpution in our society in a comical way. In it, he paid for attorneys for those who couldn't afford one but were being persecuted on trumped up charges, paid for legal teams for immigrant and illegal Mexicans who couldn't afford attys and were
being deported for forming a union. He paid for cheap gas for Americans on an all day sale----$.60 a gallon (SUV drivers just filled 'em up.) He paid for a lot of stuff. So, when I see a question like that, I KNOW that person knows nothing about Moore.

i didnt know corruption was funny. nice to see moore thinks its is and you do too. i dont think its anything to make light of but you seem to. thats ok.

and imagine that! illegal immigrants being deported...i guess them being here illegally had nothing to do with them being deported huh?

and BTW the word id PROSECUTED.

persecution according to merriam and webster...

1 : to harass in a manner designed to injure, grieve, or afflict; specifically : to cause to suffer because of belief
2 : to annoy with persistent or urgent approaches (as attacks, pleas, or importunities)

charging someone with a crime isnt persecution and and following up on those charges is also not persecution although we'd like to think so.

are you sure you're an attorney (wannabe)?

Umm... I assume you're talking about Moore hiring lawyers for Mexicans or whatever... Why doesn't he put his money towards the hardworking oppressed Americans who seem to be his target audience instead of illegal immigrants?

I don't really have anymore questions for you, and I thank you for taking the time to give me an answer. It doesn't change my opinion of him though. I still think that if he has so much animosity toward Bush, and towards capitalists who steal our money, he shouldn't be doing the same thing those people are (i.e. making ungodly amounts of money he really doesn't deserve to have, just like any other popular "star").

The films rated R....big whoop...you find me a teenager that would 1)actually want to see it (besides me) and 2)cant talk there way into a rated R movie. Just bout every teenager today can talk there way into a rated R movie...I for one will go down there and see it when it comes out, and "get" in.

He did. He hired lawyers for poor American that were being railroaded in CA. He bought a gas station and sold gas at $.60 a gallon. What else do you want?
Well, I can forgive him for being a star if he does it to expose the truth. Then, that's really a star you can look up to.

I love the signature, Colonel! I'll never forget the first signature that I ever saw of yours, "Suckas on my jock like ants on candy." LMAO

I guess you can't call 'em as you see 'em!

Why is this forum restricted?

Thanks, Bangin. Always good to know you're around. The reason for the restriction is b/c the republicans couldn't take the heat and started whining.

As frar as I can tell, there is no answer to the question. The examples did nothing to show Moore being truthful. As fa matter of fact, to even assert that Moore uncovers corruption in any manner, humorous or not, is absurd. The fact that Moore does not draw distinction between truth and lie is a fact that has already been established. That being said, we can move on.
As far as him buying a gas station and selling gas at $.60/gal is indicative of nothing more than a publicity stunt. As far as Moore footing the bill for someone's legal fees, that tells me nothing, too.

Again, Moore is a liar. Because Moore is a liar, and because Moore has an obvious political agenda, Moore is the worst candidate to try and expose any corruption. Let's assume he actually stumbled upon legitimate corruption; how many would assume he is lying once again?

To answer the question about the place being restricted now, Bangin', it was restricted to better get a handle on the run away attacks and stupid garbage that made the place nothing more than a cess pool. Colonel enjoyed it being that way, that is why he is bitter about it.

TC: Please do not pretend to speak for me. I am bitter about nothing. In fact, I feel much freer. Plus, you haver provedmy point, the republicans were getting pissy: "stupid garbage that made the place nothing more than a cess pool."

Now, back to Moore, have you read any of his books or seen shows, or seen his films?

Is there a reason you cannot understand not to continue to quote entire posts? You were a mod, you should have learned some things.

Continue, Colonel. I'm tired of looking stupid defending you. I want you to continue. I want to make amends for my stupidity. Afterward, you can go to another board, live in denial, and tell everyone how you were done wrong by the mean ol' man, and how you were the innocent little child.

Colonel, you DO know that despite the hype...Moore rides around in Time Warner's private jet and rides in SUV limos? Seems to me that he complains about all of that stuff, yet milks it for the perks and the money. Everything from his "working-class Joe" persona to his so-called documentary, for which he won the award, is largely fictitious. Michael Moore is the master of the truly fictitious. It should really be a MOCK-UMENTARY.

I don't know if that's true but if it is...so what? If he can make money exposing the corruption perpetrated on the "average joes" why not then? He's doing good. He's exposing corruption. Lot better than being treated like a whistleblower usally does.

He uses people to get rich, that is what he boils down to.

He picks the topics that he knows will generate alot of publicity and then puts his own slant on them and labels it a documentary. He gets free advertising, and TV time as a result.

I can't beleive that you, COLONEL, defend this guy. Isn't he just another white man playing the system?

Oh, god, you and the race thing again., Give it a rest ok? Michael Moore is for everyman and if he gets rich trying to get people to notice and give a damn about the poor and down-trodden, so what? Mel Gibson is ridiculously rich for that pornographic violence called the Passion of Christ but no one says anything to him.

That is because Mel made that movie with his own money and with no other agenda than to show what Christ went through.

Moore, on the other hand, make his movies to make a buck. Since he could never make it as a real movie maker, he creates facts out of thin air and then proceeds to put out crap.

I actually used to like his material until I did some research into his facts. I think you should do the same. Then try to defend him.

So, Mel didn't make Passion to make a buck either? He was making pornographic violence for people and children out of the kindness of his heart?

No, he was trying to make an honest representation of the last 24 hours of Jesus. Did you actually see the movie, or are you just talking out of your ass? His intention was never to make a buck, it isn't like he needs the money.

So, Mel was there when Jesus died?

No, all he was going on was that piece of fiction called the Bible.
