Police in McAllen, Texas, have arrested a man for allegedly killing his 2-year-old stepdaughter because she kept crying during the U.S.-Ghana World Cup game on Saturday. The details that police allege are horrific.

Police say Hector Castro, 28, called firefighters to his apartment because the girl swallowed a screw. But police say the screw was jammed down the throat of the girl to make the death look like an accident, and that she died because she was beaten and suffocated.

I believe in the death penalty and support it. This is terrible news to read. So many crimes in our country over decade. How can we fix it?

This is something I thought would've happened in Africa, South America, or even England.

How does something like this happen ?? Who in the hell in texas watches soccer ??

What sounds more plausible to me is, the detectives made this story up when they came to the house and discovered this man watching the soccer game, ..... However what in fact threw him into this homicidal rage, was his innocent child breaking the remote control, not allowing the man to change the channel, and the game.

I hope he burns in hell.

Did you read the name of the person? Hector Castro. Everyone knows us Latino's love football. Except for me of course. I usually do something else with my time.

So with the soccer the world thinks we in the U.S. must learn to love, it seems we also get the hooliganism that goes with the game in the UK and other countries.

Maybe if the game of soccer was even a little more interesting to watch, as I mentioned in another soccer thread, this guy wouldn't have had all the free time on his hands to go kill his daughter.

Opps sorry I was profiling again. But it does seem that more crimes done by illegals are making headlines.

Rodriguez said Castro is an illegal immigrant and that he gave investigators a confession that implicated himself in the girl's death.
