Please excuse me if this is not thread worthy or anything. I am merely looking for answers. Though there may be none to give. Anything at all is helpful though. For the past 4 months (around that time period) I've been having several dreams involving snakes. Now, some people wouldn't find that a bit odd, but its the way the dreams are. Most of the time when the snake shows up, everything becomes blurry except for the snake(s). Sometimes everything is just as clear though. I'll give a few for example.

My most recent dream involves a pregnant girl that I have never met before, but apparently in the dream she is quite close to me, though I feel as if I can't stand her. In the dream, I was in a hospital room with several others. I can't see over their shoulders (i'm 5'3") and I'm trying to see. Anyway, she screams and everyone seems to be excited, but I never heard a baby wail or anything. They finally part and I'm able to get through. Instead of a baby, I see several small snakes and one large one. Everyone seems to be congratulating me (which is really odd since I am a girl! I am not a boy, I can't get anyone pregnant D: so I'm not sure what was happening there), while the large snake just stares at me.

Another dream involved what seemed like a war-torn town/wasteland. My father was there, searching for food and what seemed like machine parts. Really, anything useable would be my guess. Anyway, he told me not to wander too far. His words seemed to keep repeating as I walked away. I was drawn to a broken down house. Several walls were missing and the door was beat in (like I say, wasteland almost, like a bomb hit or something). I walked in and after a while I found a perfectly untouched bed. It seemed so colorful and stood out from the gray debry around it. It was a light red from what I remember. Anyway, I walked up to the bed but then I saw a giant snake laying on top of the canopy above the bed. It looked at me as if telling me to sleep there. I wasn't afraid of it (I never seem to be afraid of these snakes). I heard my dad's words again before hearing him again, though this time saying that it was dangerous and he was calling for me outside. He wasn't anywhere around, though I heard him as if he were behind me. Finally, I walked over to the bed and laid down. The snake did nothing but stare still before it seemed to close its eyes. I then woke up from that dream.

I have had others but I don't quite remember them as well. The snakes never talk but I seem to understand them enough when I look at them. Now, I know dreaming about a certain animal isn't unusual, but its the events in the dreams that bother me. I've never dreamt of them before and I don't really think about them. I don't think I ever feel scared or surprised by them either.

A friend of mine passed it off as a spirit/totem animal or guide. Now, I've never read up on them, though I guess I should. I guess if it helps I could talk about my life since these dreams are recent (as in those 4 months are so). I was never really a big dreamer either, but I've been dreaming constantly, like at least 4 to 7 times a week. So sometimes I dream of them every day. Sometimes I wake up and can't remember anything about the dream except the snake. I know exactly what it looks like no matter how much of the dream I can't remember. Its always a dark green color with yellow eyes. It has black markings on its back.

My life is changing quite a bit lately since I just graduated high school and now I'm going off to the military (2 weeks and the dreams keep increasing). So my life is beginning in a way. I'm open to all theories (please nothing harsh).

Is your father living? Did/does he or you practice a particular faith? Not to sound ultra-Freudian, but what/is your relationship with your dad? Are any of these dreams repeating (same or similar story line) or do any of them seem "linear"- i.e. pick up & continue from where they ended the night before?

The pregnant girl is a sub-conscious version of yourself.

The feelings you have toward her & the fact that she is the one associated with the snakes is very important. It is possible that the large snake is mocking, challenging, taunting or attempting to establish dominance in some way. The presence of "additional" snakes is relevant in that regard.

It is also possible that the snake is trying to convey that you are also to blame or responsible for it having "been born," so to speak. It making purposeful, deliberate eye contact with you in such a benign way is to be noted as well.

from what I have learned, snakes represent your enemies or your problems. Because of how they are perceived by us in general. If you see them a lot, then you have some unresolved issues that need closure. By killing them, you feel as if you have resolved your problem with this issue. By not being afraid of them, you are coming to terms with your problems.

Disclaimer: I am not a professional dream interpreter.

Who is the David in your life?
Are you joining the air force?

There is some symbolism and based upon what you have shared I sense natural apprehension about entering a new way of life, and an internal sense of courage facing what may be perceived as evil by yourself, or those around you who influence your opinions.

My time is short right now, however I will be back to provide some ideas of possible meanings. Earth comes to mind, your global views. Snakes are close to earth, closer than most animals, since they literally hug the earth as they move their bellies almost constantly touching earth.

Also some medical aspects to your dreams, aside from the birth and hospital room imagery. But ultimately it is what the dream is to you.

I suggest keeping a “dream diary” or “dream log/journal”. Our dreams are in effect portions of ourselves attempting to “defrag” our internal computer systems, I think. Keeping a dream log may help you to remember more about your dreams.

I see the snake as the "choice" you are about to make in your life. I do not condemn the option of Military Service. I myself was once in the USAF. To me it is an environment where levels of responsibility and listening skills are applied and integrated into a young mind. Common sense seems to be the end result for those serving. However, I do recognize these are not times of Peace and the application of the soldier is utilized much differently now more than ever before.

So the "choice" you are about to make is in reference to your innocence. If you follow through with Military Service a part of you will never be the same again. You will experience a loss of innocence.

Maybe later in life the snake will reappear to you, it might help you in making the choice in restoring any lost sense of innocence. Like the snake who sheds its skin re-emerges as clean and renewed, we too can cast away that part of us that has become withered and worn.

Good luck in your decisions only you can hear the truth for you.

Yes my father is alive and we have gotten along more until the recent year I have to say. He has been a bit pushy and always being on an opposing view just to annoy me. He says he enjoys fighting with me and that he is just preparing me for life, but it just gets annoying. He always has the problem with always being right even when he has no knowledge of what he is talking about. It can be very frustrating. Also I don't really have a religion. My family are kind of Christians, but they don't really practice or follow anything. The only thing I'm sure of is reincarnation.

That sounds very logical, though the dream involving the girl and me was just creepy. Since apparently I married her and she was so in love with me, but I'm a girl (which is the odd thing).

Who is the David in your life?
Are you joining the air force?

I'm sorry, the David?
Actually, yes I am joining the Air Force. I've been inside the DEP for a year because of school, but now I'm finally leaving, though I wish I had more time. I'm a bit worried about actually passing basic training because while I had a year, I was a bit lazy and did nothing to improve my physical form (besides lose weight). Schooling was just important and I always thought I would have more time to work out, but in the end I didn't. 8 hours a day of hateful teachers and cruel students just exhausted me. (I was the quiet one in most of my classes. I would help people if they didn't understand the material, but I would become the subject of a few pranks in return though)

Its even harder to think about my future now that it all rides on this basic training. Because its either this or the coal mines. My parents can't afford my brother and I both to go to a college.

you may meet someone named David, and he may become a friend.

As for the Air Force part, between the dream, you mentioning the military, the fact you are female (more females join the usaf) and the imagery in your choice for an avatar, it wasn't too much a guess.

as a fellow airmen (11+ years service) i offer you some advice. pay attention to the first 2 core values, and dwell on what they may mean to you. secondly, listen. thirdly, take nothing personal during basic training. fourth, review the definitions of ego, super-ego, and id.

hope you find these suggestions useful.

also, i am sorry G.O.D. (Governments Of Dollars) has left you with fewer options than you may deserve. coal mine or military.

sorry for the deviation from topic, and back to it...

Snake dreams like this usually imply a kundalini awakening.

Kundalini awakening is generally a good thing, although for the unprepared it can develop into Kundalini Syndrome:

May I ask what changes you are going through?

A dream of pregnancy, implying a birth of something, can also symbolize a kundalini awakening. I actually had a similar dream a couple months ago which was related to my awakening. The girl was probably you (or your ego-self) giving birth to a kundalini awakening (snakes) and per your last post, you marrying her at the end would symbolize a union between your spirit, soul, and body.

I don't do interpretations. There is no set meaning to dream symbolism, the imagery is highly personal, a result or your own personal associations ans archetypes. Nobody can make sense of it better than you can.

That's to be expected. Everything in your dreams requires your attention to exist. When a huge honkin' snake shows up, obviously the snake is going to be the major focal point of your attention, leaving less attention to sustain your surroundings.

Interesting dream, but there are meanings.
One has suggested is to remind you of your own being, your sexuality and the fact that you are fertile. In some native american beliefs the snake medicine is that of transmutation. However, the question should be what kinds of snakes are you dreaming of, cause that is the aspect of your life that you are seeking to change in yourself.

What exactly is a kudalini awakening? I'm not quite grasping it. Afraid I can be a bit oblivious if the answer is right in front of me. Though I did read the source! Of course

- Well, lately it has changed since school ended and the dreams started showing up more often. I keep getting burning feelings on certain parts of my body, mostly my face. I also keep getting unusual pains in usually my stomach and arms. I have also been having a number of headaches/migrains. Usually everyday. Most of the time they are only on one side or one part of my head.
- I guess another would be um....been very sexual lately? Not that I do anything about it, but the feelings can sometimes be overwhelming. Of course, I never let those feelings become a temporary lapse in judgement.
- I have also had a sort of blindness I've never had before a few weeks ago. My eyes seemed to go cross-eyed and it stayed like that for 10-15 seconds or so, no matter what I did. I went to the eye doctor but he said nothing was wrong. And by crosseyed, I mean that everything seemed to be cut in half. The lamp, the tv, my mom's face.
- A few times I have experienced an odd calming feeling and I felt as if I was a bit sluggish. Things seemed to move a bit slowly in my eyes, I guess. That only happened about 2 or 3 times in the past month.
- The other changes I guess would just be the change of having to start your life. I suppose that can be quite stressful, but it doesn't seem to bother me that much. I'm quite lazy, I guess you could say. Really the only reason I joined military before even attempting college was because I wanted to go to Japan. So its kind of a big change, realizing a child-hood dream and trying to accomplish it.

A dream of pregnancy, implying a birth of something, can also symbolize a kundalini awakening. I actually had a similar dream a couple months ago which was related to my awakening. Well, actually I married her at the beginning. It didn't show it, but it was just one of those things that you knew in a dream. And I saw wedding pictures in the beginning before I was suddenly in a hospital being led to a room with a screaming woman whom I immediately assumed was my wife since the dream gave me that feeling. I also kept repeating how I could marry her and how much I didn't want to. She seemed to be ruining my life even though she was completely affectionate and I didn't want it at all. Even in the pictures I was myself, a girl. But everyone kept treating me like a boy (even without the pregnancy for a clue). Everyone just letting me through after one loud scream. The little snakes were just laying there between her legs and she was looking happy and so was everyone. The big snake was between them, just looking at me. Eventually, I stared at the snake so long, that everything else just blurred/melted away.

Yes those are all symptoms of kundalini awakening!!!

Here's a list of basic symptoms:

www.elcollie.com...

A kundalini awakening is a psycho-spiritual phenomenon that is recognized even by the medical community. It is basically a spiritual awakening and if one is unprepared, it can cause dramatic upheaval in your life. You will go through some intense changes and the important thing to remember is to accept these changes and in the end it will be the most beautiful thing you've ever experienced!

So by spiritual awakening does that mean paranormal?

I'm afraid I'm not very religious so this can be quite confusing if you mean by a religious awakening.

BellaMente,
I was wondering in your opinion do you think the “Kundalini” could be a kin or an aspect of/to the “ID” of the psychoanalytic theory?

Main Entry: id
Pronunciation: \ˈid\
Function: noun
Etymology: New Latin, from Latin, it
Date: 1924
: the one of the three divisions of the psyche in psychoanalytic theory that is completely unconscious and is the source of psychic energy derived from instinctual needs and drives — compare EGO, SUPEREGO

Source of “psychic energy” that is “completely unconscious”
…. Not sure if I believe the completely unconscious part, myself. However reviewing your link and the symptoms of the syndrome, inspired me to think about the similarities.

Sorry for my brief deviation from the OP, but the information discussed may have some relation to the meanings of the dream imagery.
Thanks,
ET

i do not want to speak for BellaMente, but i think she may have been referring to not what is "paranormal" or "religious" or unnatural, but rather natural phenomenon that is not currently understood, or quantified by the labels/words we use to define certain aspects of our shared reality.

in short ...
some aspects of what truly is may exceed our wildest imaginations.

after reviewing the link she supplied that was my understanding, and interpretation of the “Kundalini" she brought up.

but, i could be wrong,

Your Dreams Look very weird as if they are trying to confuse you.

Your dream of being congratulated after birth of some snakes is a symbol that this is not a perfect time to be a mom and take care of your kids or you are not ready to become a mom at this moment because you will not be able to care their proper care.

You may do studies or some job and being a mom will have an effect on the nourishment of your childrens.

It can also mean that you have a friend in your life that will deceive you. He/She is watching you as of now and will deceive in the perfect moment.

The Dream of bed is a clear cut symbol of your sexual desires that are getting out of control.
