I couldn't find this here, but apologize in advance if it was already posted. Nice (or should I say not good!) aerial video of the GOM. Puts it into a different perspective.

Note - the video does not show animals suffering, in case that concerns you. The animals aren't shown until near the end of the video, and then it is aerial shots of pods of dolphins near oil, a sperm whale and some birds.

I have never seen this video before now and now a part of me wishes I hadn't.

People need to see it regardless.

I am sure BP and Obama will some how try and sue the Dolphins and Whales and the other affected sea life for "stealing-removing" the BP Oil with OUT permission.

I have not seen this video yet, and I honestly don't think I can watch it. After what Asperglar said, I probably will not watch it. I am already heart broken over what is going on down there. The suffering which has been thrust upon the people and the marine life in the Gulf of Mexico makes me sick. The lack of response by those who have the authority to order an appropriate response -in my opinion- is criminal.

I've never been the kind of person to wish bad upon anyone, but I certainly hope that the ones who are responsible for this fiasco are paid back in Spades.....Not only the ones who caused it, but also the ones who are complacent after the fact. May their suffering be GREAT

After seeing this, i cant believe some people have the nerve to say "Its just another oil spill" - i suggest they watch this and try saying that again.

I saw this thread earlier, but I was not emotionally prepared to watch it at that time. Well, I found myself just staring at the thread for about 5 minutes, gathering up enough nerve to witness the unspeakable horror of what we humans have done to these beautiful creatures. With my hands over my eyes, leaving a small crack to see through, I watched. What have we done? What have we done? I have never felt so much shame and guilt. I am ashamed to be human.

It's very sad. This is what the "cam" on CNN should show. More videos like this can be found here,

it's absolutely disgusting. I just read a report saying BP has been burning live sea turtles. They aren't allowing rescuers to get closer to the turtles covered in oil while they perform the controlled fires and most of them are being cooked in the process

If this company had been on it right from the get go, acknowledging how bad it is, being totally honest, hired, trained, paid volunteers from the US and the UK (stimulating their economies), and just generally held a positive, transparent, open to any solution standpoint, myself and the public wouldn't be as mad as we are.

the apparent lack of of a soul in the executives who run BP is what is ringing the loudest with the public.

they're more concerned with the taxpayers coming up with the money to take care of this

BP are evil... repeat it and remember it ... though I think in American one would say BP is evil... nonetheless, 'Evil is as evil does'.

We have a visceral response to the suffering of the dolphins and whales because we know they are sentient and very much like us.

(In fact there is an entire scientific theory that humanity is not primate but rather cetacean who walked bipedal in the rivers whereas the dolphins and whales set out to the deep seas. There is a bit of an explanation of this in the Book of Wisdom (at its last chapter or so) ... which one can find in a Catholic Bible or a Protestant one that includes the 'apocrypha'.)

I hope these visuals are seen widely as they have the power to destroy the oil paradigm as well as the intensely evil corporatist capitalism which governs the States as well as the rest of the Anglo-sphere.

Just an FYI, that's not really proof. I lived in Baton Rouge and this type of sheen is scene after most light rains given the area and its refinery pollution. Oils on road run off surface floats up on the water and coats the streets, hence the slick surfaces when it begins raining. Heavier rains and the stuff washes off.

Now if that person could have grabbed a clean white bucket and put it out as it was raining, that might be a more accurate data capture.

This vid is a good example of how we all fail. We have trashed this planet to the point of whole oceans being affected. This is historical to say the least and for all of you who are only near-sighted...check out Clif High and the Web bot project..please be sceptical but check it out. The last report had plenty of language revolving around this whole deal and its effects in the future. Mass populations movements...oceanic convection current disruption...weather pattern disrupted to the point the "old" patterns are gone.

We really are friggin doomed on so many levels its retarded.

Ohhh...but never mind all that its just a SciFi movie...lol...hahahahahaha

Kinda like a video game..we can just hit the restart button...

Tear wet my eyes after seeing this video. I mean i feel so indefense and with so much anger and rage about those greedy people that dont cary about you and me. They just care about getting richer and richer and richer no matter what. No matter you life, no matter my life, your sons, your sister, your pets, your family , they have complete disrespect for your future.

Whoever is your God if you have any. Please pray so we can get some help soon

oh Humanity, this is a catastrophe!!!!! And they put is fighting by the color of our skin of by the language we speak >(

Jees, this is truly sad. And to think it's only going to get worse, as they say they will only have the relief wells drilled by August. That means at least another month of this

No words can explain what a disaster this is. Surely it must be the worst ever?

I wouldn't be surprised if BP tried to sue all the wildlife for stealing their precious oil.

Aha !! How the tables turn Flipper !!

We don't deserve this planet. We can rant about those directly responsible, & the greed that drove them...but it is everyone of us who buy gasoline for our cars who are responsible for this disaster. I know. We have to get to work. We have to get our kids to the baseball game. There are a million reasons...excuses...to keep us behind the wheel. We keep the drug dealers in business. And oil is a drug as deadly as any other. I truly wish I had an answer. A reason why I'm not guilty. But I don't. All I can do is decide to walk those few blocks rather then drive them. Get all my errands in order to avoid having to back track. It isn't enough. But it is a start.
