It is funny also he helped formed the KKK. In fact he was the co-founder. I just find it ironic that African Americans joined the political party that started the segregation.

What time period are you from? The first clan was formed in 1st Klan 1865–1870s. The second was from 1915–1944. Cornelius Calvin Sale, Jr.; November 20, 1917 – June 28, 2010. I doubt he had any other insolvent instead of leadership. The Democratic party had origins with Andrew Jackson. He even made the mascot. A Donkey.

He was a co-founder of his klan chapter.
