IT'S A BIRD!

Birds in photos sometimes look like saucers.

Yes they do. But look at the way the light is disperced over the object. It suggests a smooth and even surface, possibly metallic.

However, it casts no shadow over the ocean, which means it must be between the man and the ocean (over that marina-type body of water between the rocks)

Why?
Why can't the shadow be between the man and the camera? The Sun is high, pretty much straight up (look at his collar) in the sky, the shadow could be falling on the ground in front of the man.

There is nothing to make me think that it is anything other than a bird.

You look at enough of these kind of photos and they all start to look a like, IMO.

Other examples of birds.

I'm not sure how you get metallic out of it. There is no detail to indicate any reflection.

The color of a blurred object gets distributed by the blur.

for the third time i have to disagree! lol, im not just trying to be a tw@t by the way! lol

for me it looks like its maybe just in front or behind of that far cliff, and judging by the small boats in the water below the guy i would estimate the object to be a bit bigger than one of those, which for me is about the size of a parachute maybe about 35 or 40 feet in diameter, thats one of the reasons for my earlier theory.

thanks

I think you should read this thread: A simple lesson on PERSPECTIVE

In most of the photos of "bird-UFOs" there's usually some texture or shape that gives it away as a bird. I'm not seeing that. I mean, what's with the bottle top like edge? How does a bird make that?

why? ive read it and i understand perspective but still it makes no difference, i could be right or wrong, its impossible to tell.

and also you could be right with the bird, but still its impossible to tell.

As can be seen in the pixel zooming by GEL (rather than more "creative" forms of zoom). There really is no edge. The only edge is the result of interpolation by the software.

Fair enough. But I still don't see a bird in that zoomed image.

But I suppose it's is the most logical assumption... that or a bottle cap.

With all the cheap HD camera's available on today's market, and with all the advanced technology they contain, why can't we get a good photo?

I took this image into Photoshop and I believe it's a hoax/fake.

hi, could you give us your reasoning for your conclusion please? and tell us what you found on photoshop?.

and the answer to your question is maybe there isn't thousands or even any alien spacecraft flying around to take a good picture of, so maybe thats why people keep submitting hoaxes or dodgy photos of mundane objects just to keep the dream alive!.

its not just that there's lots of cheaq hd cameras but the fact that almost everyone carries a photo/video enabled cellphone around with them but still we have nothing but hoaxes, pictures of birds/bugs/planes and other mundane objects.

that speaks volumes to me.

thanks

rich

Ok so you took it into photoshop now what have you proved to us all it fake [ using photoshop] or is there proof that you have found this to be a fake all because you put it in photoshop.
Sorry but this is not right people saying it photoshop and not backing it up, if you can please and we can close this thread but as for now not one of us can prove it fake or real and all we can do is speculate. But to me this seems real, why would the editor post it [post few up ]or publish it knowing that UFOs do not go down well with newspapers [ well without chance of ridicule and to tarnish the name of paper]
This has hit a lot of forums so that alone must give it some cause for study [if we can].
If all people want to do is claim photoshop then any picture/photograph may as well be classed as PHOTOSHOP .
If that is the case above then why bother with threads on UFOs etc..

Sorry rant over [Can this be to good to be true]
Oh no offense to The Theorist

hi k3rm1t, i agree with most of what you just said, i do think there is an actual object there and it hasn't been photoshopped and also by definition to us it is an unidentified flying object, but for the reasons i gave earlier i really doubt that its anything out of the ordinary due to the fact thats its taken at a holiday resort on a hot bright sunny day i suspect there's a very busy beach there somewhere and if something extraordinary had been flying about then surely there would have been many witnesses, more pictures/video and it would have been big news but it seems that nothing happened until they spotted the object in the photo.

thanks

i mean no offence but the photo crearly shows a lot of boats below where the guy is sat, therefore there must be at least a harbour area and therefore there must be people in the area, it makes no sense for two youngish guys to be having a drink in a beautiful place in the middle of nowhere with no other people, surely they would be at a tourist area, ok they might be on the clifftops but surely there must be a beach somewhere in the vicinity!.

thanks

rich
