Like we didn't already think that? Wow...the MSM must take us for total idiots. I mean we have at least some photographic and video proof of seepage, though its *possible* its natural. I know a lot of us on here spend a lot of time watching these feeds. I know we are not experts, and i know we are not always right...but come on...we are not all stupid.

From the article: "The official is familiar with the spill oversight but would not clarify what is seeping near the well. The official said BP is not complying with the government's demand for more monitoring. BP spokesman Mark Salt declined to comment on the allegation, but said "we continue to work very closely with all government scientists on this."

I know people on this thread have been saying for days that there are likely more ROVs and cams to which we do not have access to. Now I wonder if the government even has access to those feeds.

Nonetheless, this is big, and bad news...

It's the 2nd pic I was talking about...it does look like a crack (the black patch) and to the left some greysish stuff billowing about

The leaks from the "crater" around the wellhead look just like the ones at the natural looking vents farther away. I saw both oil (black wisps) and a brown mixture of the same color and consistency as what was coming out the well before it was capped. That, along with the somewhat lower than expected pressure, is conclusive TO ME of a leak down bore. The bottom kill might still work though, if the breach is far enough up, or if the concrete can seal the breach also. [I will not respond to the posters who just attack everyone's opinion.]

On that other picture where there was a question if the dark area was a shadow, look for the angle of the light source. The outline of the large dark area off to the right does not match any shadow that would be cast by the silt cloud bubbling up. There is not anything else to cast a shadow there. Also that same dark area is consistently dark even toward the part where the light fades out. So, IMO, it can't be a shadow. Prove me wrong with a valid rationale and I'll listen, but just negative comments are meaningless.

We know oil naturally seeps through the Gulf floor...but there is no evidence or proof to say that ALL these are natural...especially 50 feet from the well head. There is also no proof they aren't natural...either way, not ALL of these seeps can be natural.

Ssssssssshocking! There are a lot of leaks and a growing amount of cracks down there. I guess they had to report something considering tons of people are keeping up with these feeds and seeing for themselves.

ugh another thread? How many is that now? Like 10 or more? I can understand this being kinda a new situation, but its been discussed here in this thread for several days now. Personally i am sick of having to tear through threads for BP coverage.

I agree, well, sort of. Have you noticed all the relentless trolls personally attacking people in some of those other threads? They can stay over there! This thread has been mostly peaceful and on top of that, we're making some discoveries. It was great that we were able to pinpoint the Viking Poseidon footage to 50 feet from the well.

With the news out of a possible methane leak we should hear from Allen Thad soon.

Can someone tell me what I am looking at on Skandi Rov2?

I'm not sure what that is, but that white stuff looks like dispersant.

I know that is what the bubbles were encased in. Maybe they are using some kind of gas to stop them from escaping. BTW Skandi 2 is on its way to the surface.

Also a LOT of bubbles and fog/dust/sand/oil? in HOS Super H ROV 1. Same for Olympic Challenger UHD 31. And i mean a lot. More than the ROVs kick up I would say. And a lot of turbulance in BOA DEEP C 1.

EDIT: Super H ROV 1 is now completely blacked out by bubbles and whatever the heck else is floating around there. Been like that for a good 20-30mins...something is definitely happening down there and does not look good.

Here are the cracks before the rov Challenger 1 started covering them, notice the one on the left is a larger size than in the other pics.

Just seeing if the first one uploads, if it works i will EDIT add the rest.

[edit on 18-7-2010 by troye2407]

The picture seems to cut off the left hand side where the cracks are, the photos can be seen in full in my photo folder media.abovetopsecret.com...&action=list_photos&album_id=15156
I will upload the rest now.
