You relly want to know what I think? I think that capping the well may have added fuel to the flames. The build up of pressure has to have been going somewhere? Maybe its what is contributing to the quakes etc if the pressure is released combining this along with the oil replaced by sea water and topping it off with a methane gas cloud?
I can't say its looking pretty. Anyone who sees what's really going on will know what to do. I think the shtf situation can and will get a whole lot worse.

Urge to pull his dick from the dirt and f:;k the whole universe. Perhaps?

Looks like they are getting ready to lift the BOP soon as they have attached blue cables to it. Hope it all goes well.

They are getting ready to take the capping stack off....then move the bop this weekend or Monday....(I keep hearing different days)...they probably don't want to say exactly when in case they f*** things up, they hope people aren't watching...I bet they do it at like 3am, when they think people are asleep!

On Olympic Challenger ROV 1 (aka UHD 30) you can still see a lot of hydrate buildup on the BOP and well. So it's still leaking...

They are cutting some kind of rather large pipe on the Q4000 ROV 2. Not sure what it goes to though. Does anyone remember one of the other ROVs cutting a pipe similar in size? I was wondering if anyone gone screen caps of that. This looks awfully familiar.

Yes I meant collectively though as in that BOP is going bye bye. I figured they'd have to remove it all in sections as that is how they assembled it in the first place.

Oh you're so right. I'm sure it'll be about 3am. I just hope it all goes well because most everything else hasn't so far.

Sorry for being off topic here.Well I am not going to be posting to much right now as I had a bit of a HDD situation come up. Well actually it decided to go its own way and crashed on me. So I lost everything and I am in the process of having it replaced.So with that said I will try to do what I can with posting when I am able and will be checking in when possible. So keep up the hard work and I will be posting asap.

They had to have opened the cap or something. Most of the feeds are foggy, and have oil blobs.

Subsea operational update:

The MC252 well has been shut-in since July 15; there is currently no oil flowing into the Gulf.

As directed by the NIC, fishing operations have been terminated and operations are moving forward with removal of the capping stack and replacement of the Deep Water Horizon BOP with the DDII BOP.

ROVs are preparing the DW Horizon BOP for removal.

The DDII is moving into the staging area in preparation for latching its BOP on the Macondo well.

The DDIII is performing a logging run and then will continue to standby ready to proceed when directed.

We anticipate the next update will be provided by around 10am CDT on August 29, 2010.

Im still so busy I can only check in now and again, thanks for the updates everybody.

Feeds are looking rubbish right now, mostly not showing. Though challengers looking quite ominous heading towards BOP with some tool connected. Looks like a storm down there with the velocity of the mess shooting around.

Same here! I have just been checking in as I can....I have had company here since Friday....yes, it has been looking rough down there the past few days...like a blizzard with all the hydrocarbons flying around!

it's been crazy busy here too. i fell injuring my lt arm pls excuse hunt & peck.

i caught the end of a news report about opening the cap again. why would they do that? i see posts here about the bop being moved again, why? recently i've noticed little or no mention of the gulf in major broadcast news.

i agree all tptb hope no one is watching. even if i can't be here i can be sure many of you will be watching & reporting back. can't thank you enough.

Awwww....hope you are on the mend soon! Yes, they are moving the old BOP and replacing it with another one....

They have been taking it apart since yesterday...

6:00 pm central time....these things came from out of nowhere....there were hundreds of them all over. Looks like oil droplets to me, but some were really big. They were concentrated around the BOP.
