Ok so first off, even if you don't want to filter, you should probably get OpenDNS, and set it up on your home wireless router, its free, its easy, its great. OpenDNS router instructions
After you do that, you should reset your router (I just unplug mine for a few seconds and plug it back in) and if you're planing to use FamilyShield, change the password on your router...

Just do all this and your set
