I couldnt pick a certain era because i like bands and performers from every era.

Mozart
Elvis
The Supremes
Lynryd Skynrd (sorry for the spelling)
Metallica
Green Day
The Used

There I tried to cover every era, but yea, I kind of jumped around a bit. If I really had to pick I would pick the present era.

Thanks for the reply JustAnIllusion and you have a varied taste

For me during the 60s/70s led zep, deep purple, kinks to name a few
The 80's there was Guns and roses, early stone roses, the smiths, thin lizzy
90s Oasis but IMO have went of the rails, Charlatans

Out of interest..what type of music do 'The Used' do?

The Used does modern punk. Well they used too, but the lead singer has cancer. And ah, I forgot to mention nirvana. *smacks forehead*

I like the the 60s (Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, and The Beatles),70s (Boston, Jimmy Buffet, KISS, Black Sabbath, Styx, Queen, Eagles)The 80s (Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, Van Halen (80s, can't remeber when they started), Tesla). Just to name a few of the best groups of those eras.

Thing is I hate modern music with a passion, have a big rant on it on my blog. Any band after 91 or so is crap.

Baroque.

That, and post-punk post-rock industrial grunge with an electrofunk infusion.

Websurfer, if that's what you like, check out early Maiden, Motorhead, Anthrax. Lots of good metal from the 80's.

I like some music from all decades but I think now is my favorite time.

I hear people complain a lot these days that there is no good music out there. There is, you just have to work extra hard to find those gems in the record store.

I couldn't say a certain era also... Some of of my favourite music (with eras) is as follows:

60s/70s - The Kinks, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and KISS.
80s - Iron Maiden, Guns N Roses, Metallica, Megadeth and Def Leppard.
90s - Nirvana, Green Day and Offspring.
00s - Velvet Revolver, Drowning Pool, AFI and Billy Talent.

Of course I have left out so many here, like Alice Cooper, Saxon, Black Sabbath, WASP, Thin Lizzy, Disturbed, etc - which some of them (e.g. Alice Cooper) made records in all of the above eras.

Alice Cooper must be my all-time favourite, as with each era - came a new style, just fantastic; and still going!
