Proof that the blowoff preventer is severely tilting - when will it fall?

Edit - as stated below - my theory is incorrect. The BOP and the plume are both on-center - the Top Hat is off.

Still doesn't answer the question about what all that stuff is attached to the ROV's arm!

I'm not sure what your trying to tell us.

The centreline of the top hat is off from the bop, but that is not unusual, it moves about all the time.

The centreline of the plume which would rise straight up is in line with the centreline of the bop, so indicates the bop is not tilted.

I cant comment on your other point because I cant make out what build up of matter you are refering to.

In the prediction part of the forum I estimated on or around July 4th!

But my thread was deleted because I was a nuisance that evening and bothering people on the forum

It was release before that it is tilting but no one said how much. not sure if this is a way to gauge it but you are correct that it is tilting.

I'm just looking at the live feed, the one your screen cap came from and now I do see the odd 'thing' in the foreground.

I have no idea what that might be .... looks kinds of weird.

It's tilted- however since the first 4 or 5 attempts to cap it was so much trouble they decided to just leave it like that...

The BOP is certainly tilting and the correct screencaps would be taken at 3amEST that's when BP sneaks the ROV's around inspecting damage, and you can see that it's tilted about 10 degree. So either they get lucky with the intersect or London Bridge come falling down.

Now if this happens they can try dumping a sh*load of superglue type cement into the gaping hole unless the casing comes shooting out!

and when it happens it's going to be fast.......

Also what you see in that pic is not the plume flow. The cap is over the BOP and the plume is rushing into the top hat. What you see is oil that flowed into the hat up the center and back down nd out the sides. This will distort the flow aa it is flowing around the hat. If you looked yesterday the flow is a much thinner direction.

The OP is talking about the BOP, not the top hat. We all agree that the top hat is tilted. The question is whether the BOP is tilted. There is some tilt as evidenced by shots of the level indicators around the BOP. I have a shot of one from a few days ago which shows some tilt..

YES IT DOES good sense of humor sadly most people on ATS do not posses this skill ! Perhaps Obama can have his little girl award a trophy for BP when the plug damn hole!

I, too, would like to know if the BOP is tilting or already tilted from the first explosion. I wonder how much of the inner tube of the BOP is being eaten away by the flow, if any.

We probably wouldn't get a straight answer from BP though.
