How come man is atop of the world?

Like some other said, I believe it lays in our creative mind of thinking, and our time reality, we know a future and past very good.

Although..
It makes me wonder, what if all animals went berserk on us humans ? they could whoop our ass, birds flying at your head, dogs biting your leg, hehe sounds like a bad horror movie, let it not happen.
