Poor thing, must be really sick to allow a man to carry it back and forth from the water like that.

Mod Edit - changed title at OP's request.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but they covered this on ABC news this evening.... and the dolphin died.

They are currently testing to see what caused it's death....

I just realized my title error. Thanks.

Such a bummer.
I think it is safe to say the cause of death can be laid at BP's feet. Just saying...

I could barely even read that blog about it because I teared up so much. It angers me to no end to know that humans are the ones responsible for the suffering of so many of these animals yet the ones responsible just sit around and go about as if nothing is happening while living in luxury because of how much money they earn even while this disaster is ongoing. Those responsible better never get within driving distance of me or else I'll go about it my own way to dish out what I consider justice since our government won't do jack about it and continue to hold pointless meetings with them. I don't even care if people consider this a threat, I'm sick of how this country doesn't hold those in charge accountable and throw them in prison until this whole mess is fixed.

This makes me mad as hell. As much as the entire disaster is is angering and sad, it's individual animals like this dolphin that really get to me. Do we realize how many times that dolphins have rescued man, either from sharks or just drowning? We need to put the BP execs on trial for criminal charges.

Well, at the least, maybe it wasn't terrified about being alone, sick, and dying, separated from its pod at the end.

Might have inhaled oily crap when it came up to breathe and ended up with lipid pneumonia.

This oil spill tragedy as a whole is breaking many hearts and maybe affecting those who never gave this environment a second thought.
Hey folks, I don't live far from this and it's breaking my heart and
dwindling my hope for a better future for all of us.
I can only ask what next but not sure I want to know.
I hope TPTB don't use this as a springboard for land grabbing or
whatever but sure does not look like the common man is in control
here but guess who will be paying in the long run. If we are not living
in some form of end time ( historical cycle ) then please inform me
when does it begin.
I believe I saw a tv program perhaps years ago where it was said
that in circa 2012 both machine and animal would turn against mankind.
I may have this info wrong but I am sure I watched something to that affect.

Poor dolphin. It angers me that the wildlife have to suffer so much. That man however, I give him upstanding applause a thousand times over.
We need more people like him.
However, if Steve Irwin were still alive(R.I.P.) he would be freaking out no doubt.

Such devestation is heart-wrenching. These creautures have done nothing to deserve this. Mankind cannot continue on this path without dire consequences. Greed has caused this and men with no conscience.

No more oil! Find something else, but no more oil!!

I was just thinking of those people in the water trying to save the dolphins, that can't be healthy for them either.

That is what most heroes do...they jump in and follow their heart and worry about the fallout later. I applaud that man for his efforts!!!

I couldn't stand by and do nothing while that baby was stranded and hurting either.

All the top execs of BP shoould be made to get in that oily water and hold those dieing animals. The way that dolphin was flicking its' tail fin I wouldn't be surprised if trauma has something to do with its' death... which would be a direct or indirect result of BPs oil spill.

I am sorry, I goofed when I posted it. I'd like to edit the title but am unsure how to do so. This was my first thread on this site. Again I am so sorry!!

Can some one lead me in the right direction as to how this is done?

They had to get that dolphin out of the water to clean the dolphin...

In the report, they said that when the dolphin was found first, it was covered in oil. It was everywhere on that poor animal...

why was he cradling it like a human baby lol...

To show both affection and handeling the dolphin with care. I find it offensive that you use childish internet speak like lol or a stupid smiley on something as horrible like this!

And dont act butthurt in your reply since you realy need to grow up some more and show some compassion. It will help you in life more then you might think.

i think you need to direct your anger at the person/s responsible for the dolphin death.

coming on here to cry about it or venting your anger towards other members isnt gonna help the dolphin or prove your maturity and compassion for wildlife.

u2u me if your panties are still in a twist...i can help get you some counseling...
