To all of you 6/23 Charlatans...

My original desire was to fill my 6500 character limit with "haha" repeated over and over again. But that would be childish and would fail to miss the major point at hand. Instead, to all of you 6/23 Charlatans speaking of "Blackjack" let me tell you this one thing,

SHAME ON YOU!!!



Now, this next part is directed at those who were duped by these people into thinking a major tragedy would strike and made you spend the past 24 hours to a week worrying about you and your loved ones safety. My message for you is,

It's okay, most of us have been there before.



Sadly, I think most everyone on ATS has been duped at some point or another into thinking that on of these End of Days prophecies would be coming true. When I first came to ATS I bought into so, so much of it. I bought into the writings of Ronald Wieland and 2008 being a time when great tragedy would strike, marking the beginning of the end of days.

I bought into the threads talking about the FEMA death camps and train cars that were going to haul all of us 'trouble makers' away because we viewed the "truth" on sites like ATS

I bought into all of the hype regarding Swine Flu and even got to the point where I believed the stuff enough myself that I began posting my own thoughts about it (some of my threads below)

Now, I consider myself a fairly educated person, having graduated from College with honorary remarks and have accomplished enough so far in my life to make me proud of what I have done. The fact is, anyone is susceptible to believing this gunk that comes out. If you bought into it, do not feel stupid or like you missed what should have been the obvious. Instead, learn from this.

I quit this website for a long while because it finally clicked to me that many of these people spewing this garbage such as Operation Blackjack aren't doing it because they are trying to make money. Or trying to scare people for fun. Many of them are people who have gotten so wrapped up in it that they begin to believe their own garbage coming out.

Because we came to ATS to find out more about topics that intrigue us, we tend to be naive when 'experts' come along and predict things that seem too massive to be true.

I wanted to write this thread to scold those who spread these lies. Instead, I want to close by giving hope to all those who feel duped or feel that they were deceived in any way whatsoever.

Don't give up guys, the truth you are seeking is out there somewhere and you will someday find it even if it is not the answer you seek.

I think(hope?) most people here realize that its 99% BS, 1% golden nuggets.

I remember the (short) Georgian - Russian conflict, and I learned here first about the ss-20 missles the Russians brought with them.

It was then reported in the MSM about 4 days later. That 1% keeps bringing me, and probably most others, back for more.

Just read everything here with a grain of salt, verify, or wait for verification.

The rest is just window dressing.

I didn't even know something was supposed to have happened today! But there is still time, tis only 16:55 here in the UK


I never pay any attention to 'end of days' style profecies though. 99.999% of the time they're just something that somebody made up and managed to get other people to believe in.

Well, why would they allow an attack to happen if it's been 'outed'? People would be screaming false flag... Why would they let that happen, an attack blamed on them, the Illuminati and not 'those scary Islamic terrorists'.

There were suggestions that something would happen on 4/19 or 4/20. Guess what? The Deepwater Horizon blew up on 4/20. Yet there are threads asking if any ATS prophecies came true... Well yeah one did on 4/20. There's a timestamped thread somewhere on ATS that predicted something would happen on 4/19 or 4/20.

I encourage people to read between the lines... They never know... They might just as well have prevented an attack by exposing it.

This right here is why doomsday "prophecies" will always be popular on ATS....excuses.

It doesn't matter that nothing happens...there will always be an excuse as to why. In this case...people (like the above) is going to say that since it was known about...it was outed and cancelled

Or something did happen, but not as big as we thought.

Or it was just to see how we would react.

Day not over yet, and these so called "predictions" are not very accurate. I don't think we can call it entirely busted until about this time on Friday.

However, I am 85% sure you are correct and it was another failed prediction.

The activity in Iran is interesting though! It started yesterday, and if it develops into an all out war, then we can say that it started on the very date predicted!!!!

I just look at Johnston Atoll when questions of time crop up. It is the earliest time in the morning for the same day that the majority of the world is on. The time there now is 5:17 AM June 23, 2010. Despite relative time zones, the day will not officially be over for the entire world for another 18 hours and 43 minutes.

I offer up a star and a flag for you! Some of the doom sayers on this site have already covered their @ss by saying there info could be wrong and it could be two other dates. Does anyone else not see how pathetic that is? Its like they say "i'm starting to look wrong so let me make it where I can still be right."

I wonder how many evasions, date changes, and other attempts at misdirection we will endure before these supposed sooth seers admit that they were flat out, undeniably, inescapably wrong? Will they ever have the testicular fortitude to admit to their error?

I predict right now that somewhere someday something will happen that I will post about on ATS. Its somewhere between now and when I die. When I post about it I will reference back to this thread to show that I too am a great and accurate prognosticator.

Symbolism is very important in occultism in that they who practice this believe if things happen on a certain date, it is a sort of sacrifice or offering on some sort of spiritually 'charged' time of the year, like 9/11, 4/19, 5/1.

Honestly I think a fair cross-section of these doomsday prophecies have a lot to do with the timing of school vacations and are a product of boredom and overactive imagination. Annoying but understandable.

Another slice of the pie can be tossed into the realm of paranoia and people who've just read themselves into a panic. I think we've all managed to do this at one point or another - start Googling a subject, out of curiousity and then find ourselves, awhile later, nearly obsessed. But it passes and cooler heads prevail.

But there are also people who just look at the world around us, and the barrage of negativity we get from media, and they're left with the real belief that surely the world is on the brink and that any moment will bring the end. At that point portents and omens start popping up everywhere.

I personally try to look at the neverending flow of doomsday threads on the web for what they probably are - a scared person who is just trying to make sense of something that doesn't really make sense at all.

Plenty of this crap is disseminated throughout ATS on a daily basis.
It's nice to be able to recognize the really really questionable content immediately.

The day isn't over yet, but i'm pretty damn sure that nothing is going to happen today that isn't already happening. (Oil)

When/if another actual "attack"/false flag/WHATEVER occurs, we will undoubtedly receive no warning whatsoever.

this is why people who are genuinely trying to help will always tell you not to believe anything you see, hear or read, unless you can verify it with your own research.

but how many people actually do their own research anymore? its like the majority just grabs something and runs with it because they like how it fits in with their narrow view of the world.

its a damned shame.

So what happens if something does happen? I mean from a hypothetical stand point, so say somekind of terror attack or whatever it was did hit do you think that TPTB would go ahead look on ATS find all the predictors of this event round them up and arrest them as co conspirators that had inside information and failed to warn the media... If there was such a conspiracy by an evil shadow government you would think they would use such things to their advantage by actually making it happen then blaming the person that "predicted" it along with all the other cohorts involved via email threads, forums, etc... IDK just my 2 cents I suppose. 13:11 USA EST all is still well on the eastern front...

You can't get to worked up about doomsday stuff not coming to pass... It is a good thing nothing happened. It's good to stay vigilant, because the odds are we will be wiped out by something we never saw coming.

well, just look at bill cooper. july 2001 he said that an attack was going to be staged somewhere in america and that bin laden would be the scapegoat.

the attack still happened, the script was still acted out and we all know what happened to bill.

the media is used as a form of thought control, and unfortunately... it works.

I didnt know about bill cooper Ill have to check that out. I was just saying if you are so sure that you know whats going to happen instead of posting why not call the authorities and save some lives but the truth is no one really does know and if they did know things like that I dont think they would just post like things get posted on here because they would probably be paranoid and think what I said earlier would happen to them. HAHA have you ever seen that Penn and Teller skit where they talk about the 9-11 predictions? I cant find it online right now but thats worth a look see if you havent checked it out before.
