My local Fox Channel (New York) is now saying that nothing ever happened, and there was not even a lock down according to an official on the Navy base.....

Hey...at least they were on top of it. And Isn't that the idea? as for the load of BS...well what exactly do you mean? Aren't there two ways they could go with it? Sensationalize it to show how on top of stuff we are and put the fear in people or downplay it and cover "something" up? Is there a third way? Someone jumped a gun on a false flag? Maybe I'm missing something here....

(This is to BlackOps, I guess.)

The Fedex guy probably farted, that's why everyone ran off, then the entire base went into lockdown.

Honestly.....well it might turn out to be be nothing, but at least they wern't sitting on their backsides. Oh wait...obviously they were because someone apparently managed to fire some shots and then jump a fence.

Great, a statement coming this afternoon. Can't wait for the Public (dis)Information Officer to give the classic, "on-going investigation" line.

Does anyone care to speculate that the "official statement" coming this afternoon about the incident will claim that it was a training exercise?

Ahaha what is going on here?

First there was an incident or several "incidents" with no information about the incidents.

Now nothing happened?

Strange.

The timing of this incident seems a little odd considering this warning/advisory that was just issued a couple of days ago. Not saying that there is a connection here. Just a little strange...

come on ATS, don't we have anyone inside there?

Shots were fired, they caught the suspicious people. Don't know why they are saying it's nothing... Maybe they want to keep it under wraps so people focus more on the Gulf disaster?

Hey this is my first post on ats, but lurked and have been a member for a little but now decided to post because to tell people the truth of what happened here.
I'm currently at ft dix for training, which is known at joint base Dix/lakehurst/mcguire now. The media saying that it took place only on Lakehurst, the navy side is not true. The intel I recieved when this happened was there was multiple shots fired at different places. And that there was an ied found on the Lakehurst side. While eod was in en route to check it out, they recieved small arms fire. At the same time this happened there was multiple shots fired on the ft Dix side of the post. They shut Dow
the post for almost 2 hours. They never told us how this incident ended or anything. All they told us is that we can resume training again.

Interesting observation and I was thinking along the same lines myself. It seems that they encountered small arms fire from multiple locations, which mean that a number of people are involved.

Good find to the OP and I'm flagging this thread.

News 12 NJ, just reported that a delivery truck driver arrived to deliver
a package and said he had a gun. Not sure which context he said it though.
Was he alerting them to the fact that he was carrying or threatening use of.
It wasn't very clear.

Another separate incident was reported that shots were fired. But they are still
investigating.

Also:
Lock down has been lifted.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post, and for sharing the information you received. You've reported some inside information that was specifically requested by others in this thread, and I think your information highlights just how 'in the dark' we are kept by so-called news sources.

I don't know if anyone lives in the area adjacent to these bases, but in the last two consecutive weeks two state troopers died in the area adjacent to I-95 between Fort Dix and Earle Naval Weapons Station (which has nukes). There were fairly large mobilizations of state police, helicopters, swat, combat rifles, kevlar, etc in basically rural-suburban nj.

We joked that there might be terrorists hiding out in Allaire state park.

The majority of all 38 Cal pistols are "wheel guns" and hardly an offensive weapon, its doubtful that it would even present an effective threat to guards wearing PPE. Since a big batta boom didnt happen with the Fedex truck then this was a test run/diversion ..leading up to something else. The military will not announce any threats so other posts that are concidering Lock Down" may indicate threats to more than one military installation.

Scroll down to the bottom and look up the trident loading dock and the proximity to NY. This is the port facility connected by rail to ENWS which is a midpoint between Lakehurst and the Atlantic loading station [connected by rail].

Bases do not typically advertise that they hold nukes. Though it is a commonly known fact to the adjacent populations.

Hey thanks guys. Sorry about spelling mistakes etc, I was trying to post that as soon as possible via my phone. They said we would get debriefed at some point but that still hasn't happened. I sure hope there isn't going to be anything big here again because it was intense this morning. Everyone at the certain area we were at was told to get our kevlars, iba(body armor) and put that all on, and they were going to be giving us live rounds for our weapons to patrol the area. I have not heard anything about a fedex guy with a weapon, as mentioned before. It's unbelievable how the media is twisting this story. Other guys here are shocked that the media is lying to them, and they think it's just a misunderstanding on the medias part...

Thanks for reporting in on this.

Don't worry about the spelling.

Is the situation over or is it still ongoing?
