Aren't the Five Sevens illegal? The 5.7x28 round penetrates body armor, so the cops don't want it in civilain hands.

That is not important, All you need is a compond hunting bow with a dear hunting tip and this will go right through the body armor-excert in the center of the chest-there is a ceramic plate there, besides protecting major organs, most people aim for the center of mass.

You are right it does, but it also says the firearm will be available in mid 2001, that's 3 years ago. The site also says it was last updated over 6 months ago. I mean stabmasta has one with the manufacturer box, right? BTW, Stabmasta, sweet pistol. I use my all the time, in Counterstrike lol.

Every other website still indicates that the fiveseven is not for sale to ordinary citizens.

A casual search of the WWW found for me quite a few dealers that are selling the FN Five-seveN, with three 10-round magazines and the SS192 ammunition (NOTE: that is not the AP SS190 round), without mention of restricting the sale to law enforcement or military agencies. The price of the pistols, $780+, and ammunition, $20/50rnd and up, provide a limitation of sorts! At least for me...

I have emailed the gun dealer I use to see if he can get them.

Ah man, you didn't hear about the recall? They recalled all the FN tacticals because they blow up after about 1200 rounds. A lot of low profile dealers are selling FN Five-seveNs for nothing just to get rid of them. I heard about a guy out in Arizona who pretty much lost his hand cand left ear cause the gun blew up! That gun is bad ass, but I'd talk to your dealer buddy. Those rounds will go through them jiggy's vest like an ice pick in an ass cheek. Check the sereal number and see if it was one of the guns recalled.

Good luck StabMasta, and try not to shoot too many rounds out of it before you check the recal status. I'd hate to see something in the news about StabMasta losing his best shooting hand and his ear from a gun explosion.

I had a Walther P99. Shot like a champ! Yeah boy... I was on point with that gun. I had to toss it though. I didn't mean for it to be one of my throw-away guns, but stuff happens and you gotta toss em. I'll definately get another one though.

dn:yea...i second that..the fn 57 is a dangerous piece....i owned 2 in my time...i thaught because the first one exploded in my hand that it was defected....untill the second one did....uuuhh geeeze...the eye damage i suffered was astranomical.....i now wear a glass eye in my skull....#in sux....so buddy..just remember..its all fun and games till it blows up in yours or some one elses face.....i dont know where u got yours from but i believe that recall is unfulfilled and is still in circulation through out the west coast and in every state in the great u s of a......so buddy pal im tellin ya......dont every shoot it again....if u do...make sure that 900-1200 rounds havent seen its barrel or else.........
