US MAY MICROWAVE AFGHAN TARGETS

The US may be testing a contraversial weapon that focuses microwave energy with a so called ` GOOD BYE` effect on targets in Afghanistan.

Its good to know that the US is leading the world in technology. NO idea how to stop the disaster in the gulf of mexico though, while we are praying to our God to save our lives we can sleep well knowing that our military has `state ot the art` technology called `THE ACTIVE DENIAL SYSTEM` that is designed to shoot an invisible beam of high energy waves at people, creating an intense burning sensation. The focused waves quickly become intolerable and burn the skin layers. l hear people asking time after time, why do the rest of the world hate us? WE go to places thousands of miles away, we dont fight armies any more we just KILL. Do you honestly think that God will give us special dispensation when we have so little regard for all humanity. WE are all Gods children. l fail to understand how folks can get so upset at the thought of a pet puppy or kitten being microwaved yet we are so proud that that we have the means to burn to a crisp innocent men, women and babies.

Interesting that this same tech was just used in the television show Persons Unknown.

They have lots more techs these people, that they use on innocent people all over the world.

Microwaving people is something the english have mastered, but maybe the usa too.

Star for you for raising the issue because I know they either have the tech or are working on it as this is not the first I have heard. Please post link to full article.

HERF cannons (high-energy radio-frequency weapons), which work on the same principles as microwave ovens, have also shown potential.

On January 25, 2007 the US Military unveiled a device mountable on a small armored vehicle (HMMWV). It resembles a planar array. It can make people feel as if the air temperature is around 130 °F (54 °C) from around 500 yards (460 m) away. Full scale production of such a weapon is not expected until at least 2010. It is probably most usefully deployed as an Active Denial System.

Just a matter of time before they can fire these things from a satalite.

Give me a break.

This is as ridiculous as an article several months ago that claimed the United States now uses suicide bombers. I don't care whether we have the technology or not. We may sell it to the terrorists, but we aren't going to be frying them with it.

Actually, I am pretty sure this technology has and does exist and it should be used in Afghanistan against the Taliban.

Any group (Taliban) that advocates and implements the throwing of acid into the faces of women and children for trying to educate themselve's should be fried accordingly.

Plus the technology might reduce some collateral damage.

Link please.

It has been rumored for some time now that this tech has been around for awhile.

I had heard about this being used in Iraq, some Iraqi army guy said he saw what looked like a modified US tank that fired at a bus and completely melted it, all the folks on board were charred beyond recognition. He may have been a complete whack job though, but it certainly exists in the C&C games
Just like the Aurora bomber which of course isn't real either...

Here's the article, Rense's own so certainly open for debate

There's nothing wrong with this if you consider that for 45 years the "peaceniks" have constantly complained about collateral damage, so America and other countries develop weapons that will reduce it. So they come up with a weapon that is able to be focused at an individual..... and still people complain. Still, what wasn't mentioned is that the amount of energy can be controlled to only make it very uncomfortable for the individual being targeted.

Weapons have been developed that use VLF sounds to disrupt the body in may ways.

Hopefully, someone has planted a huge Jiffy-pop in Professor Jerry Hathaway's house for all Afghan's to enjoy. It's just the thoughtful thing to do.

Active Denial System Deters Subject Without Harm

seems rather impotent if used with moderation. I'm sure there's an intensity adjustment that would instantly set this device to fry mode...

I've seen thousands of these mounted on top of Hummers.
This was also shown on the Discovery Channel TV show, " Modern Warfare"
They were able to light-up the commentator from 100 yards!
I remember that during the first Iraq war, some of the Iraqi soldiers saw their tanks being melted. G_D help us if they use it against the Americans.

It's absolutely true.

The technology has been around for quite some time now.

It's not just used in war zones either, it's also used (or proposed for use) domestically against American and British civilians, for 'crowd control' purposes.
Or put another way, 'protester active denial system'...it's good for herding shee...errm, people, where you want them to go, and away from places that you don't.

Apparently, the system doesn't actually permanently harm (O...K..), just temporarily causes a pretty painful burning sensation on the top surface of the skin. And i'll believe that when pigs fly.

It's a nasty gadget, although it's quite a large thing, that has to be mounted on a vehicle, so...there is a lot of scope for taking it out with a well aimed Molotov cocktail or lump of concrete thrown at it. Take out the beaming 'dish' structure, and the system's useless.

A fair amount of scope exists to overun the device using 'shielded' people, and capture and use it against those that are trying to use it on you!

'Do unto others' and all that.
