Can you post a link please? I'm not sure I believe this.. ~Keeper
It's absolutely true.
The technology has been around for quite some time now.
It's not just used in war zones either, it's also used (or proposed for use) domestically against American and British civilians, for 'crowd
control' purposes.
Or put another way, 'protester active denial system'...it's good for herding shee...errm, people, where you want them to go, and away from places
that you don't.
Apparently, the system doesn't actually permanently harm (O...K..), just temporarily causes a pretty painful burning sensation on the top surface of
the skin. And i'll believe that when pigs fly.
It's a nasty gadget, although it's quite a large thing, that has to be mounted on a vehicle, so...there is a lot of scope for taking it out with a
well aimed Molotov cocktail or lump of concrete thrown at it. Take out the beaming 'dish' structure, and the system's useless.
A fair amount of scope exists to overun the device using 'shielded' people, and capture and use it against those that are trying to use it on
you!
'Do unto others' and all that.
