ATSNN....

That's right, and that is what is throwing the flag for me right now. You made a submission and I tried to work with you to get it to ATSNN quality. I went so far as to offer to write the article for you inside your original post. I told you that I would help you in any way I could so that you could practice writing submissions. But, instead, you chose to just walk away and give up.

And now we get this gripe-fest. I can't help but connect the two incidences.

Im saying people report news on terror because there almost isnt anything else to report. People dont want to search for other news because it would take time. They submit news and get points for it. They dont want to submit other news exep terror etc... because it is eisier to find. And when they do submit it they get a hell of a lot of points sometimes.

Well I just offered assistance in my signature. I don't mind at all writing or helping with other peoples submissions, I suppose it'll help until they get the hang of it.

I don't deserve anything for it?

Would you prefer we give tons of points out for posts that are nothing more than "What do you think of .....?" type questions rather than a piece that someone put significant time and research into?

I'm insulted, and I'm insulted on behalf of every editor, reporter, and member who's put effort into making ATSNN what it is today.

yeah well ATSnn is a bit overrated

ATSNN could be made voluntary

Maybe you and a lot of other people deserve things for it but most people get whatever they can easily and submit it. News on terror is the esiet thing to find since it's mostly the only thing being reported.

Got to disagree with you Grf, ATSNN is what brings a lot of people here. It's not overrated, it's probably the most important forum we have.

I think there is something for everyone in ATSNN I should know I posted a great many reports in ATSNN and I am not a reporter. most of the points I have are from my many reports in ATSNN and the response has been overwhelming. I have a reported on a wide range of topics. and of late very few have been on the war on Terrorism. most are general news topics, Entertainment, and Sci/Tech.

From what I have seen through my reporting in ATSNN is many people like what I do, and the same is true for all ATSNN reports. We don't make the news we bring it to you. and we give our own spin on it.. if you do not like what is in a report all you have to do is scroll down to find a path to the truth, or at least an opinion that agrees with yours.

ATSNN is the future of news on an interactive level.. and I for one am proud to have been a small part of it.

Really, if you don't like it then submit, submissions are determined on a quality basis and not by the type of story. Complaining will get you nowhere as we can't change it ourselves.

ATSNN IS YOUR NEWS PORTAL Any member can post news submissions to help shape what is reported and how. Any member can comment on existing news stories to help the entire world understand the diverse opinions of this community on breaking news stories. Nearly any news topic is encouraged as long as it's well-written and can follow our submission guidelines. Those who regularly submit quality material are candidates for upgrade to ATSNN Reporter Status so that you can directly post news without an editorial review process. It's yours. It was designed that way. It's as good as you make it. Now go make it good!

AD, one other thing your original post actually really pissed me off, in the begining of my news submissions they were crap, but through the help of ATSNN moderators, reporters and editors I was able to learn how to create a report that people will like. I owe a lot to them.

In your original post in this thread what you really did was take a crap on what I have done here and the many fine people who have put a great deal of work into ATSNN reports and keeping the quality of the site at the top of the agenda.. and I would like you to know that I put a lot of work into many of my submissions, the last I did in the Sci/Tech section about slowing ocean currents I did not just cut an paste the article.. I spent over 14 hours of non-stop reseach into it. So at least when someone asked a question in that thread I'd be able to answer it.. so when you bash ATSNN you may as well be kicking me in the balls...

Now sorry for the rant but I think I've earned the space here.

AD...have you not read a single reply in this thread? Do you know where the ATSNN tab is? Get your foot out of your mouth and go look at the ATSNN news site and come back and see if you can say that again with a straight face.

Stop whining and submit, it really is piss-easy to meet the conditions if you bother to read.

Oh no no no, i understand exactly what you're saying.

Just because alot of people disagree with YOUR opinion does not make your statement misconcieved. We just plain don't like it.

What you're saying is that ATSNN (a submitter orientated forum) is being dominated by war on terror stuff. What we're saying is that it's not, you seem unable to accept this truth.

Even if it was W.O.T stuff all the time then thats obviously whats on people's minds, we have a very good demographic.
