Point is, if this was ordered, the cops have a choice, obey or not.
You inspired yet another little fantasy I need to play out in my head. Speaking of empathy, let's put ourselves in the shoes of men ordered to do
this, shall we.
Cop1: We have the dog. He is calm and restrained.
Whoeverisonthephone: OK, good. Shoot it in the head in the front yard.
Cop1: We have it restrained, we could at least take it in back or somewhere out of view if we have to shoot it on the spot.
WIOTP: Nope, gotta shoot it in the head right there in the front yard.
Cop1: There are homes all around, people might be watching. It might not look good and it would take no effort to take it to be put down, or even
somewhere secluded to shoot it.
WIOTP: Nope! Gotta shoot it right there in the front yard.
Is this close to the scenario you are suggesting justifies what we see on this video? If not, what do you imagine differently.
