(SUBMISSION) Religion: Virginia Shows It's Homophobic Culture (moved from ATSNN)

The state of Virginia has banned all and any marriage or marriage like unions between gay couples. Well it's not to surprising, homophobia is an indigenous trait of religion and Virginia is after all part of the "southern bible belt."

Homosexuality is part of human nature, like it or not some people are just gay and it always has been this way and always will be. What I can't figure out is why are we singeing out and punishing people because of a harmless sexual preference? What's the next step in this insanity, making it illegal to a homosexual?
