U2U Alerts for post responses

I would love to be able to get a U2U when someone responds directly to one of my posts. I sometimes make a post, forget about it, then realize a number of people have replied to it. Is there anyway we could be alerted when someone replies directly to one of our posts? I suppose this would need to be implemented in a way that us members could turn it off, but I would greatly appreciate this feature. I have a nagging feature there is someway to set my account to alert me, but I have yet to find it. Would anyone else appreciate something along these lines?

I would like that feature. There should already be email alerts for ATS reply's.

Wait for the release of the new ATS. You may find that this will be part of the new design.

I actually like that idea too. I don't know how difficult this would be to implement, but man it would come in handy. Of course only if we could turn the feature off and on, sometimes I don't want e-mails.

Some might like it, especially those that do not post much..

But I couldn't see it happening because it would be an awful lot of U2Us.

The U2U system gets clogged sometime now so this would close it down, thousands of extra U2Us a day...

My U2U alert is stuck on U2U!

I keep checking it and I it's the same one. I looked into the u2u and replied to it but it still won't get off!

Needless to say I'm agitated right now.

I've had that happen and it drove me nuts. Especially when it was just some spam U2U about board changes. Last time it happened, I was informed daily about the conspiracy chicks. Lasted a few days, then went away. Try deleting everything, that's what I had to do.

Its so weird because I was just thinking ats should have that feature. Also is there any other way to tell if you have a u2u besides clicking on that feature? It gets depressing clicking to see that I have none, so I usually don't even check, then I miss one I do have.
Hopefully the new ats will have great new ways of doing things!

I decided to just delete the single u2u and it worked! Thanks!!!

Don't feel like an idiot! I refuse to admit how long it took me to figure that one out. I love seeing that little red U2U box lit up, but it sucks when you've seen all the messages a million times.

Do you think we will still be around then? If any of these conspiracy predictions pan out, a new ATS will be moot.

That sounds like a great feature for the new ATS. It will be great for those old threads that resurface after a while.
