Bonjour ATS!

I must begin by saying that I am the last topic I would like to talk about. However, respecting ATS standards and recommendations, I shall quickly summarize below, with the following disclosure: if this introduction in any way causes pain, nausea, migraines, or extreme boredom equaling “watching the grass grow”, you were warned.

Greetings to all here at ATS! I’ve been an avid reader/follower for just under 2 years now. My awakening was delayed for a few reasons: complete the “raising” cycle of 2 extreme teenagers and guiding my good old southern man (that would prefer I visit the taxidermist immediately to end his suffering). STOP! If you haven’t at least smiled yet then you are going to be a tough member to crack!

I’m a simple, southern gal from Bayou Country in Louisiana. Completely honest, open minded, and active in all aspects of my faith, my profession, my community, professional organizations, and will live and die for my family and my Country! I’m very direct in my approach (I’ve cleared a few seating areas in my time). “You can’t handle the truth” would be one of my favorite phrases – but I am here to say bring it on! I relish anything “out of the box”; therefore, I look forward to anything eye-opening.

Be patient until I learn your “forum ropes” here for I don’t “twit, face” or whatever the social networking sites do. I have been hesitant to join your ranks mainly due to your intense knowledge of so many topics that can, quite honestly, be a tad intimidating. Kudos to all that have made this site one of the best! I have not been awake as long as most of you out here, which brings me to the “catching up” where you are point. I was quite comfortable in my bubble, where so many still are today, and trusted or blindly told myself that my vote counted and I could continue on as usual.

Now that the sand has been unclogged from my eardrums and washed out of my eyes, life looks entirely different. I’m pretty much the biggest Matrix fan on the planet, so I’m totally open to any “rabbit hole” scenario you may throw out here. I bet there are going to be more and more boroughs discovered daily – but I have a premonition that there will be light at the end. My interest here is pretty much in all topics on ATS, although I may only be able to offer opinions/information on few. I will close now, for “rambling” is a flaw I continue to work on.
