The only problem with this is that I, myself, could easily find a proxy from Gulfport MS and write that email. I didn't, of course, but I just can't believe without some type of concrete proof. There is WAY too much evidence that is easily believed to even have to accept the probable.

For those interested in the relief wells, they are not intended for production. There are two in progress as indicated by this graphic, updated yesterday.

Relief Well Plan and Progress

I don't know if they could, but would not bother me at all if they were successful in shutting in the original well with RW1 and could divert RW2 into the formation and produce from it. It would serve two purposes; first to relieve pressure, and second to retrieve the oil to pay for cleaning up this nightmare.

I have a theory that the oil seepage from the ground is a sign of the well being on a faultline. The plate action in the gulf is tensional forces. This creates cracks and fissures in the salt basin. Could be why they have the seismologists there. I have some links below. Read this one through. Trying to get my head around this. Would appreciate any comments to get my mind going

Yes! I believe all this has to do with FEMA. On another thread where it shows the guy trying to interview but isnt being allowed, I noticed the BP security officers badge. It looked like the FEMA eagle with a star of David with it. Now i dont believe israel is behind this but when i saw the two together, i was kind of at a loss for words

It's a good thing me and a friend have been preparing. From the reports of the levels of toxic chemicals that are to be airborne, im glad i have a gas mask

I don't think the e-mail is legit, but I do think that the U.S. Navy has to be involved on the scene or near the scene in some way.

Also, I would not be surprised if the Navy takes over command of this whole thing. But if that has already happened or is about to happen, I would expect BP to cooperate. No "commandos" necessary.

Talking doom? That wouldn't surprise me.

Intentional? I have gone back and forth in my mind on this. I don't know why they would want to ruin their own company and halt all drilling in the gulf. However, what an earlier post said about Capt. Sweeney quote on C2C, I heard that too, he said rig log is missing for 2 days leading up to blowout which he said is totally 'unheard of' and he begged law enforcement to look into this, so that sounds like BP were up to something very suspicious or some other party destroyed the log or whatever, but explanation needs to come out on that.

Anyone know if rig logs are transmitted off site so if there is an accident logs are safe and saved?

The dude is not in any way in PR since he doesn't know how to spell "martial law" as others have pointed out.

In Monday's statement, the president was clear about the need for changes to energy policy.

"Beyond the risks inherent in drilling four miles beneath the surface of the Earth, our dependence on oil means that we will continue to send billions of dollars of our hard-earned wealth to other countries every month - including many in dangerous and unstable regions," he said.

"In other words, our continued dependence on fossil fuels will jeopardise our national security. It will smother our planet. And it will continue to put our economy and our environment at risk.

"We cannot delay any longer, and that is why I am asking for your help. "

My take on this is that the Gulf disaster was planned to allow the US to introduce a new form of energy / fuel that they alone are in conrtol of. The oil spill and susequent catastropy was designed to force every other country to accept that this is the way forward and also put and end to the stupidly expensive ME wars for oil. Just my 2 pence

Interesting. The conspiracy nut in me would take this further however. A way to bring into the mainstream extra-terrestrial free-energy technology without the need for disclosure?

...the Gulf disaster was planned to allow the US to introduce a new form of energy / fuel that they alone are in conrtol of...

If there was such a thing, the Japanese or Israelis would have been the ones to discover it. But there isn't.

The reality that I'm afraid we are going to get in touch with, is that the only thing between the US population and starvation is gasoline and fuel oils.

I gotta say, that of all the conspiracy theories that I ponder, this one has put me in bonafide denial. I think the situation is horrible, but I, like you, refuse to let my mind think anything beyond that. That is how terrible I feel about it. I usually let my mind think all sorts of things about all sorts of conspiracies. This one is different. This one scares the every loving bejesus out of me because of how much I think/believe/feel this is one we aren't going to forget about because the effects will be in our faces for years to come.

I hope I'm wrong. Boy, do I hope I'm effing wrong.

As for the email:

I dunno, it does seem like it's nothing but one giant bowl of treats for ATS members. As if the revelations are just too "juicy" (a serious euphemism I'm using) to be true. The location of the IP and the correct jargon (as one member mentioned) gives it some credibility.

I really hope we get a whistleblower soon if it is true. How could anyone keep something like this secret (if true) at the expense of many?

Sorry if this post is in the wrong location...but there was a thread on ATS on Fri or Sat (11 or 12 June 2010); it was a Channel 13 News Report regarding farms near Shelby ( I think Shelby County in Miss.) TV news was showing reports of Organic & non-organic farms all presenting with the same symptoms of crops having white dots or splotches on them...sorry trying to remember because the next day I couldn't find the info...it disappeared. Anyway the farmers said that not only were all the crops dying, but all the weeds & grass as well...they had never experienced or seen anything like this & thought it might be due to the rains mixed all the oil & Corexit.
Wonder why that post disappeared so quickly? I'm totally new so maybe it's my own ignorance. Thank you for ALL the wonderful research & post that ATS has to offer.

BP didn't create the madness they were merely the weapon that was used... It's like someone hits you over the head with a baseball bat and you blame the bat and boycott the bat. Then blame the "greed" of the bat.

But that's OK ... boycott BP and another oil company (weapon) will fill the void and maybe they'll be used to create another disaster on the west coast and people can boycott them as well and blame it on "greed".

As long as Americans do this they'll just keep getting pummeled to death because they will never know who's really doing the pummeling.

BP is one of many weapons currently being used to take down America.. For America to defend herself she must know the enemy who's wielding the weapon... and the enemy who wields that weapon has a motive that is far more sinister and deadly than "greed."

What on earth could this be about???

Here's my, off the cuff, "Gut Shot" theories:

#1. Navy Intel could mean preparation for deployment of a nuke.

#2. The emotional reaction of the BP workers described in the email concerning the sea floor, could mean that they witnessed total failure of the casing. [This is bound to happen at some point due to the erosive forces of the high-pressure fluid rocketing up the well hole.]

#3. As to the claims that BP created this disaster to "get permits" to drill two more 'relief wells' to replace a problem well. Alone such a claim would seem very unlikely; but combined with the strange pre-event 'insider' market action on their shares... something shady is going on.

A FASCIST CONSPIRACY?

That shady something could be anything, so why not a “Fascist Conspiracy.” Perhaps a joint-venture between the Obama Administration needing a disaster to advance its agenda, and BP needing two super profitable non-problem wells.

Oh my, what tangled webs we weave. It’s possible that in their hubris, they ignored the real ‘risks’ inherent in their schemes, and now the situation has escalated beyond their conventional control. So, now they are really freaking out and reaching into their nuclear arsenal in a last ditch, Hail Mary, attempt to put the lid back on pandora’s box.

I am glad to see there are some in BP with a backbone and are willing to let the world know what is really happening. The Gulf provides livelyhood for thousands of people. It is sad the BP still thinks of dollars to be made after committing genocide on the gulf, its wildlife, and the the people accross the US that depand on it. I hope an everlasting boycott of BP and any affiliates goes into efect.

I haven't read through the entire thread, but I have a couple of quick hits here:
the oil and gas has been coming out of the well head for almost two months. this has been under tremedous pressure. That presure has to be coming from the weight of the rock that surrounds the oil deposit.

I am not sure of the well's depth but if you take the support from under a structure it will collapse. Pop a balloon with a pin. and I think you will see what I mean.

Finally, something will have to give. As long as oil is coming out of the pipe. then my bet is going to be the rock that surrounds the oil deposit.

This following is one of the mst profound pararaphs eliciting this is a legitimate email.

Now no one talks about that since the two who were compiling data on the non-natural seismic signs have gone missing. Another who knows the doodleb killed in the blowout is telling me he was recommending an immediate pooh [added: pull out of hole] and manual trip of the bop [added: blow out preventer].

The author's inconsistency between the "two" then discussing the (one) doodleb killed shows he was writing freely and not pre-planned. Sure seems to be an email from an industry insider.

The industry jargon could have been faked but the author has a seemingly good grasp of comfortably using it:
doodlebs - discussed before
pooh: pull out of hole
bop: blow out preventer

On the other hand...

The author's job description doesn't seem to add up. If his job is to deal with the press I would expect his use of grammar and sentence structure to be a little more honed. It could be though, that he (or she) worked their (sic) way up and through years of service gained that job.

Tough to say but I'm voting this is from an industry insider. I'm tempted to trust it's legitimate.

I have gone over this email a few times now, and have a theory
that maybe this insider is real, but not as inside as he is portraying.

I looked at various words within the email like:

field supervisor
responding to a security briefing
long term assignment
containment of any information
my new job
to push back
marshall
concerned BP'ers
Navy Intelligence

and think that this guy may work for Wackenhut vs. being an actual employee of BP, which would explain familiarity with the operations, but with some variations in some of his statements and his use of many terms that relate directly to the security industry. It is not uncommon for security people to relate to the companies that they work for in terms of being an employee instead of a contract employee. We have already seen a video here on ATS where a Wackenhut employee denied that he even worked for Wackenhut, even when his shirt was labeled as such.

Anyways, more food for thought.....

I need to point this out....

Has anyone noticed the price of gas is still stable? Here in NC, it's $2.45-75.

Keeping this in mind- Why haven't gas prices climbed thru the roof, like when the refinery got hit in the hurricane? Why hasnt there been some- any excuse to jack up gas prices across the board?

Curious and curiouser.
