Any type of human survivor you want from anywhere in the US, UK or Australia or if you want - play a zombie. It's up to you.

I can play a zombie, Oh so sweet!

Now as Tenthpower said this is your baby, so what do you need from me?

When you say "with stats" what do you mean?

As in an RPG?

Or as in their specific abilities?

For the purposes of this working thread - provide a background/description/current (at least previous) occupation/location.

That's the type of write up that would work best.

If you have room, I'd love to jump on. I'm also new to CW.

In most stories, we can have only 1 main character that we actually control and then a host of NPC's that anybody can control if they come in contact with them.

This is mf_luder's baby though so it's his call
.

~Keeper

The host of NPC's is fine in my book.

I don't to seem like I'm copying Masqua w/ the Space Opera that was so successful, but I think it makes more sense story-wise to have a character with his friends/allies/enemies/etc. involved all at the same time so you can produce a good long post and make a good story arc that pertains to your specific character, while at the same time working w/ the other writers toward an overall goal.

Welcome to the story.

We'll start on Wednesday.

For all writers, go ahead and work up some background information on your characters and throw it out here so we can see what we're working with.

I will provide the initial post for the story thread and explain the history, current location overviews, etc. I will also post as a character in the thread, but not right away.

Cheers!

LOL - Thanks...

Oh - I was wondering - Is your story going to have an intact government or not?

Thanks tons!

As of right now, I'm thinking no. The US Government fell apart after the zombies started taking over everything. So there will be smaller splinter "governments" and militias, but no true US Government.

I think it would be real cool for the zombies to have their version of a tribunal for all the crimes committed and then eat all the government officials.

That would be really cool!

Hello,
So here's what I came up with as my character. Just an introduction...

The shredded flesh hanging down his cheek-bone looks grotesque to him in the mirror as he contemplates the last few days’ events. It’s been seven days since he has eaten… He reaches for his Grandfather’s barbers -scissors then begins to sever the flesh from his face. Oblivious to any pain, he shears-off the largest piece in one swift motion. It falls into the sink. He wastes no time completing his task, and is soon wiping his face with a towel.

Ever since the morning he had to hide himself in his basement; running down-stairs and sealing the door shut with whatever he could find to wedge it closed, he has been incensed with despair, and morbid thoughts of suicide. But given his back-ground he knows the effects of Necro-Mortosis.

When the outbreak first took hold in his beloved city of St. Paul, he was the attending emergency room physician. He stuck to a regimented diet and exercise routine, as sporadic as his working schedule would allow him to be. But now, all is forgotten. He reaches down into the sink and takes a piece of the flesh. He smells it. He turns it about as to inspect it. He then places it on his tongue. He is surprised at its salty taste. He nibbles at it at first. Its texture is like a saltine cracker dipped in soup for just the right amount of time. Just the way he loved it. Before he realizes what he has done, there is no flesh left in the sink…

At first I wanted to be a fisherman so I could arrive on the scene in any part of the world. I still can with some editing. I guess I wanted my character to seem like a sophisticated-type.

I fell in the rabbit-hole there, but I'll be here...too!

I've been working on a government agent type character.

More law enforcement-ish, complete zombie hater type..

I'll have something concrete by tomorrow.

Looking forward to it guys!

And yes, the space opera is still great, I'm sad it was such a short experience for me.

Alright people, I'll have the first post up sometime today and we can start from there. Good luck and I hope you enjoy writing in the zombie story.

It should be highly interesting to see where this goes.

I'm thinking I'm going to actually have us all start at the beginning of the outbreak and go from there - so right around 2010 - when it all starts. After the outbreak gets really bad, the major governments will collapse, of course.

Have fun!

Hi there. Id like to join in too. Been a fan of zombi movies since I can remmember!

Maybe take a page out of 'Dawn of the Dead' book which finally ends up as a tight nit group like in 'Land of the Dead' as an example.

Just a thought..

And would the final outcome be a cure or mankinds compleate oblitiration due too the rampant zombi hordes??

I'm thinking the overall "quest" would be the search for a cure, but how this goes is entirely on us as the writers to determine.

Is the government responsible for the virus?

I'm building my character and as a Government Agent I wanted to know where the government stood at this present time.

Yeah, I think we're going to go with "it was created by the government" - maybe it started out of Fort Huachuca or something like that. Who knows - but yeah. That's fine.

My first post is up!

I hope it is a good starting point for you guys to work off of.

You may want to take some ideas from the below site, of how a zombie outbreak could begin (bearing in mind copyright of course)
