Horrific Pictures of the oil spill

Hey all,

I came across this site which has around 20-30 pictures of the gulf of mexico oil spill. honestly, i was deeply horrified by it.

on one hand, im horrified. on the other, it was good to see some of the wildlife being rescued (even if it felt like something of a press stunt).

one picture shows a man using a suction hose to "clean up" oil from the spill. with so many barrels of oil leaking into the ocean on a daily basis, surely this does absolutely nothing?

Look at all the camera's compared to the amount of people actually cleaning the animals. And, look at the size of the area the animal cleaners have to work in....looks kind of small to me

Edit- I only see 1 pelican, and possibly another animal in the back of the picture.

Ho hum! I don't see anyone cleaning up the smaller critters, like crabs, shrimps, crayfish, etc. How about cleaning up the larger critters, like whale sharks, huh?

Horrific Pictures mean nothing to me.

What is horrible is the fact that no one appears to tell the truth about what is REALLY going with the oil well(s), the alleged cracked fissures on the sea floor and other hidden agendas that the government won't reveal in the fear of spooking the citizens into panic mode!

i am beyond disgusted,the incompetence here is overwhelming.

the one picture of the guy with the kids plastic beach shovel(if it is indeed real) speaks volumes.

yeah, i dont get it. its completely insane to think a few buckets and a shovel and some pictures of animals being washed is going to fix this problem.

This is a perfect example of how greed has not only affected our wallets, but also the hundreds of species of animals that would have been affected by this.

BP need to be trialled over this. they have essentially performed genocide on an entire environment.

im not normally into this kind of thing either, but ive never felt so helpless and gut wrenched because of this atrocity.

I couldn't look at the pictures, we as PEOPLE should wake up and see that this drive for wealth at any cost is going to be the death of us all!

If we can't see that OIL is not the answer to our energy needs and the cost of humanity possibly, we deserve to all die like the dinosaurs!!

We maybe looking at the very beginning of our own earth changing event that will cause our extension, future civilizations may in fact be looking at this period in time as we do now looking back thousands of years to find things that changed ......

We wanted oil! well guys and gals .... we got OIL!!! we better think of a way to drink it because in the last 58 days they haven't figured out a way to stop it.
