This is pretty funny.

This guy is spot on in calling out the rest of the media.

He literally calls them all crazy.

He also brings up a good point, all of their huffy and puffyness over the issue did make him do something.

Now the question is, why are they doing this, even CNN and MSNBC after basically blowing him for years.

Because they want to show everyone ...

WOW, the media really needs to step back and take a look at what they've become.

They try to find flaw in everything. They're critisizing how he dresses???? Like the reporter said, it won't plug the hole, so really, it shouldn't matter.

I find it funny that these idiots are supposed to be our source for news. Either way they're always going to spin it as though there is something wrong. I think it's better to just turn off all the media crap and find other sources for legitmate and relevant news.

In short: damage control.

They pimped Obama as the savior during the elections and now that people are realizing he's just another puppet, they fear their reputation (and therefore control) is in peril.

The MSM has babied this guy for far too long. they see it in their ratings that the public isn't buying what they are selling... So in self preservation the MSM lets loose the dogs.

The MSM is finished - all the back pedaling in the world cannot save their reprehensible sell out asses. Just more chicanery from a bunch of glorified snake oil salesmen. Let's dedicate a song to them from a British group.

To answer your question: They are doing it so when the President finally "takes action" the public will feel the President is finally listening to them and making major reforms.

Unfortunately for us, what ever these major reforms turn out to be won't actually solve any problem but will in some way make the elite more powerful.

So, is anyone going to talk about his comments at the 2:35 mark where he correctly states that there is very little the federal government can do about this leak? People have been going on and on about the government reaction but like Mr Zakaria said the government can’t do much about this leak.

After all, what government agency specializes in oil leak clean up? When was the last time the government staged exercises in which they practice cleaning up oil spills? They do a ton of drills for responding to terror threats and war games, but I don’t remember the last time they practiced cleaning up an oil spill. Do people not remember the 1980 Mexican oil leak which was very similar to BP’s and took 11 months to stop? Seriously, what can the feds do? What can even BP do?

Not much emphasis is put on oil spill cleanup. Our technology hasn’t advanced that much with regards to this type of oil spill cleanup and it’s not like there is many thousands of miles of boom prepositioned either. As well, do people not realize that it’s easier to put men into space then operate where the leak is occurring?

I’m all for holding people accountable for their mistakes and missteps but I’m also all for being realistic about what can and cannot be done about a situation. Quite frankly, many people are being quite unrealistic about what the government can and can’t do. I don’t know, maybe it is the years upon years that people have been told how advanced we have become as a society technologically wise, that people think that we can accomplish anything, and do it immediately. It’s a sad situation in the Gulf with the damage from the leak and the tragic loss of life.
