I don't think spoiled Westerners appreciate what's happening in Asia.

It's strange. One of the links on the website quoted details a Florida teacher who was dismissed from her employment, on the grounds she got pregnant before marriage.

It's a strange world, ours.

As to this Chinese story, there's a few things missed out. Was the girl indiscreet with these orgies she was organising ? Noisy sex parties upsetting the neighbors ? That would be grounds for police proceedings in many countries, not just China.

I'd imagine most prosecutions are brought by a local administrator rather than the Chinese national government, I don't think this story means much in itself.

First of all, the Florida story is a Christian private school, nor public.
Of course the story, by itself is not earthshaking. I think the younger people on this board are, uh, not too familiar with recent history. I also think Americans, particularly young Americans think the rest of the world is just like us! It wasn't that long ago terror reigned in China. Such a thing would be IMPOSSIBLE in China, just a few years ago!
This tells me ATS is very young and knows little outside the USA.
