Id like to start off by saying i was raised christian, and no longer am a supporter of organised religion.
I still believe in G-D and i still believe in the basic principles in the bible i just dont think i need to organise at a church and have a man in a robe be a mediator between myself and my creator.
that said i respect everyones right to read the holy book of there choice and worship as they feel compelled.

but i did want to add the title of an old wu tang song

Hey Mike,
Thanks for that.

One thing I'd like to point out though about your view of church:
Not all churches are as you've described. Although I would agree that far too often organized religion gets in the way of our relationship with God - this isn't always the case.

At the same time I think that our faith and worship of God isn't meant to be lived out alone. God wants us to commune with each other and share in his glory.

Christ said "where two or three gather in my name - there am I". I believe this was a clear instruction that we are not meant to live out our faith alone and that we need other believers to support our faith journey.

  1. You need someone to hold you earthly accountable
  2. You need someone to encourage you
  3. You need someone to bear faith for you when you have none
  4. You need someone that you can carry - it builds your faith

If you'll notice in the Bible, the disciples always went in pairs at a minimum as did Paul. Church isn't about the rituals or the music. It's not about the name or the doctrine. Church isn't about the sermon/message you get on Sunday.

Church is about the body of believers that are working together to bring Glory to the name of God and to be the hands and feet of Christ. It's not about what's inside the walls but what those inside the walls can do for the world outside the walls.

replace all those "you"s with "I"'s and "my"'s and ill agree one hundred percent.

I respect Your right to believe and worship as you wish.

this is not arguementative in nature and if it comes across that way i apologize in advance

respectfully yours,

All I'm saying is that there is something in sharing your faith with another believer and working with a group of committed believers in the service of the Lord.

I know you meant no argument.

I think your colloquial historical overview is theologically correct.

All you need to add is the role of pre-deluge hybridization of man...
...and the role of Israel in the genetic preservation of man to get to Messiah.

Then link this to modern day abductions and breeding...
...and the 'alien hypothesis' presented in sci-fi since the 1950's.

And then you have your 'behind the scenes' playing out right now in contemporary history.

you know... something I didn't put in here because it really didnt have a place is that I've always looked at the list of "begats" in the bible and then wondered how people lived for 600 years and then that slowly dwindled down to roughly 100 years or less. (Other than the part where God says he wont let anyone live longer than 150..(or was it 120?))...

David in the Psalms said it was even skinnier...
"The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away." Psalm 90:10

The begats also tell us that the struggle was a genetic one...
...and there was a need to catalogue genetic lines...
...in order to preserve the 'seed of men' to Messiah.

I am of the opinion that Adam was immortal (i.e. not meant to every "die") until they were separated from Eden. At this point man was still a perfect creation but was now mortal due to sin.

Two primary things were lost in Eden...
...man lost the indwelling Spirit and access to the tree of life...
...the first we have the 'first fruits' of when we believe the Gospel...
...the second we will have in the New Earth to sustain new transphysical post-resurrection bodies.

Perhaps the fruit of the 'tree of life' had nutrients that gave us continuance...
...and sufficient to keep us all alive at least to 70 until now.

I think each generation became successively separated genetically from that "perfect" state and thus the shrinking life spans.

Men were given animals to eat...
...a rainbow appeared for the first time...
...so the sun may have been previously hidden behind cloud cover...
...vegetation may have change dramatically...
...each contributing to reduced longevity.

I also wonder if human vitality and longevity was reduced deliberately...
...so that hybridization was less possible...
...less chance of transgenic manipulation.

I also think that God's plan with the flood was to try and take the most pure line left from Adam and essentially "re-seed" the earth while removing the corrupted strain for man (corrupted by the fallen).

I think you are correct...
...the very survival of the 'seed of man' was being threatened.

It all makes me wonder about the science behind God. DNA is pretty magical when you consider it....

It also makes me wonder why we so often thing that scientific discoveries disprove God.

To me - every discover we make just further validates God and his Glory.

"Sin is that which is not of God"
if god is creator of all and everything. why not "responsible" for sin, too ?

Lucifer will never build any empire, nor will he have a stable image of himself.

Lucifer, Pan, Dionysus, Bacchus, Promotheus, Hercules, Toth, Horus, Jesus, Moses, all those metaphors are nothing more then descriptions of those who teach you.

When you get born as a simple useless contender who drinks, eats, pisses and leaves stinking matter behind you, you sit in a large infinite darkness.
Compare it to the computer who has been just build, contains all he needs to operate but has no program to make something use-full.

Now, who are you going to discover to lighten up you candle, to bring you into the light. First light-bringer is your mother, the next your father, the next your teacher, the next your priest in case of religious belief, the next your company boss or department chief and so on. On the end you become yourself your own light-bringer.

The Symbol that is used to depict your teacher for what and who ever it is has so many aspects and faces and has horns and you just call it Lucifer the one who brings you the light. Pan or Philo the teacher of Hercules is a more familiar picture for children and all know him by Disney's Cartoon.

Always remember that all persons and places in biblic texts or scriptures of religions are only Metaphors that symbolize something or someone.
They are not real and same as you set up a scheme of calculation with algebra based formulas, the bible scriptures give you a general image of someone indefinite by a person, an action or a place it happened.

It is that truth that we have to understand first when we read the books and want to understand what it says and for sure to teach this truth and only that will break the false understanding and the mess-up religions create in this world since thousand of years.

Secret societies keep it secret and just communicate to the initiated and religions do all they can to avoid anyone to reveal it.

Will it ever change, I hope it as much as I doubt about it.

devil, what the crap is that again. You should always remind that when you get born, the storage up there in your head is empty. All the junk that you relate, devil, hell, heaven, purgatory, lucifer, saturn, baphomet and so on are all fruits of your imagination and in scriptures they are used to describe states of mind and of behavior of your own person.

So, if you speak about the devil, it is only a comportment of yourself or someone els who enters that state after a defeat and depending the manner of how he takes it in account and thinks about it.

A defeat causes pain, a pain that you accept or reject. Once rejected it causes more pain and this pain will transform in altered states of thinking that reach from jealousy passing by revenge up to crime.

This state of acting is hell and following this you get out of it by accepting your defeat or you continue acting and become this representative of the evil one calls devil.

But again, those imaginary persons are just metaphors given to your state of thinking and acting and at no moment they have or will ever exist as beings in the material world.

And such is Lucifer, the one that takes you out of the dark and lights your candle, a metaphor used to describe the person that teaches you and this what ever he look like and who ever he is.

Probably that person will keep blaming you verbally or beat you with a stick or boot your butt but certainly will not punch you from backside with the horns of the Ram or any other goat.
