Just watched the video for his new single Im not afraid which is pretty deep from his point of view...but seems to me he may have figured out that the key to this world is love and helping one another...he also has a fly through the sky like neo scene?

(I know the main point is about him beating his demons and getting off drugs..but that does open you up to what im referring to)

And on a side note having to do with maybe more people catching on...one of the lyrics in Drop the World with lil wayne and eminem

"I know what they dont want to tell you, just hope your heaven sent and your hell proof"

And part of the chrous:

"And I could die now, Rebirth *SNIP*
Hop up in my spaceship and leave Earth, *SNIP*
I’m gone"

Anyways just bored...but even lil wayne is also constantly talking about how love (contridictray to some lyrics) is the key to everything...think its cool that two of the most popular people on the planet are now preaching this...any thoughts?

Not sure how to embedd it so heres the link...

10 million views in 5 days. Move out Lady Gaga!

ETA: The reason Marshall is different on this album is because he's supposedly off the drugs... meh, I don't care about his life, just make some decent music and its cool. But yes, the message is definitely different.

wow I didn't kno that my fellow ATSers got down on the rap game that's cool. I've been listening to eminem for a while considering he reps my home town n all actually worked right down the street from where he lived. but the drop the world reference in the chorus it's all about lil Wayne and his style he constantly reffers to himself as a alien he always says " we are not the same i'm a motherfu*king alien " and " i'm a martian this is space jam" lol so I don't think he's refering to actual greys or the UFO's we talk about here on ATS but nevertheless who knows and cool post I'm glad to see some change in threads!

I love this TUUUNE! I have always been an Eminem fan and I always will be. You can hear in his lyrics that he is growing with his fanbase. We are all growing are we not? I hope he keeps this up he will be able to reach a lot of people and help the cause.

Someone told me that "Dance with the Devil" by immortal technique is a true story? I hope not, that would be awful!

In regards to Eminem, I also think he is a musical genius. But as for the love thing? I don't understand what you are asking....does he get what? That love will save us? In "We Made You" he talks about loving Palin. Lol.

As for Lil Wayne, when Lollipop first became popular, I was watching it on youtube, and I saw a commenter post a link for one of his songs where he says something to the effect of "he rubs his ass across the carpet" and I laughed really hard. But damn if I can find it now. Anyone know of this? I'm positive it was Lil Wayne.

You might be referring to one of his verses in the lollipop remix with kanye west.

He says:
"ive flushed out the feeling of
Me being the sh**
Cuz I was leaving skid marks on everywhere I sit
And I am everywhere..."

not sure if thats it but it rang a bell for me haha.

As for the main post, i absolutely love this song. Eminem is an amazing rapper and its good to see him actually putting his talents to good use and putting out some quality meaningful music. He has alot of trash but alot of quality stuff as well, and i would say this is some of his best.

Like most rap, the majority of the lyrics are the way they are for no better reason than they rhyme with the following or preceding line. If there is a message in this song, it's escaped me.

heh, haven't heard from this character in a while. I thought he was "retired." I remember him saying maybe ten years ago that he was going to quit in a few years when he hit 30 because he thought it would be pathetic to be an ageing rapper. Well, looks like that date has come and gone. Kind of reminds me of Mick Jagger saying he wanted to be dead by the time he was 40 or something similar. Or Stephen King saying some years ago he'd never write another word.

Or certain ATS posters "logging off forever" for that matter...

A friend of mine in a neighborhood I lived in many years ago was unpreterbed when I left and said I was going forever. He said I'd be back because "they always come back." Actually he was correct, although I've long since moved on again. But it almost seems such words are guaranteed to prove themselves wrong. "Never say never..."

Yeah he is definitely and always has been one of my favorites...yeah as far as that lil wayne chrous (Im no Im way off...but i like expanding my mind and then thinking about this stuff)

"I know what they dont want to tell you just hope your heaven sent and your hellproof"...then the spaceship taking off...

Being one of the most famous entertainers in the world if something big/bad were going to happen he might know as maybe they would want him to still be around...hope your heaven sent so when something bad happens you go to the good side....and he gets in a spaceship and is off the world while its happening...with many other people who would survive...maybe giving us hints in his music...lol...I know I know...just for fun....he does talk about the universe a lot though...
