Ufo fireball changing directions and disappearing

They are speaking brazilian portuguese. They stopped on a highway and started filming this. they couldn`t say what is was, mentioned a chinese lantern. we have a lot of it here in Brazil (and VERY BIG ones) because of footbal. The thing is clearly making turns and is Very far away from them cause they considered chasing it... At the end they were thinking it was a plane on fire. They also noticed a light on the thing...

If you have the original uploader from Brazil I`d like to contact him.

And I have to admit, seeing this video really annoys me. The more people that propagate (Not you, TC, you did the right thing posting it here for debunking) hoax UFO sightings contribute to the stigma and lack of credibility concerning UFOlogy.

This is true for legitimate hoaxing, however there will be a lot of cases of mistaken identity. We shouldn't assume it's a hoax just because the person doesn't know or didn't follow up with investigation. Therefore, there is no excuse for us becoming lazy in practicing our analytical skills (not accusing you of such).

These lights in the sky are from electrostatic signals.
Not electromagnetic signals.

The OP video is a re post and needs the original videoer to
draw what he saw because there seems to be lights emerging
from parts of the air ship.

Actually carlosdv stated that it was not an RC craft.

I seemed to recall another thread about this where someone found that on the night of the sighting, there was an event in the local area with people parachuting with a flare tied off underneath them.

You are right - my apologies, I misread it and put words in his mouth. He theorised:

It's most likely a small (not RC) fixed wing aircraft or helicopter with something burning on it, or hanging from below.

There are a lot of theories about it being something set on fire - kite etc. It may well be. It certainly wasn't a fireball as they don't change direction and they don't have bits dropping off them either.

If I see someone mention a kite again Im gonna slap them silly. Don't people read what was just posted before?!!

That is a parachute with a suspended fireworks display.

It has been posted on ATS many times previously.
