Sitting here wondering why we haven’t researched anything if we are denying ignorance.
The following are just a few local Louisiana T.V. stations, apparently they don’t know about the media blackout. They have pictures and video of oil soaked birds and beaches.
Is that proof that there is not a media blackout?
They scare people off of the beaches because they don’t want to babysit.
If you have a press pass I’m sure you can go there.

I only put websites with moving pictures because i think some of us will not read stories.

why is it that somebody who is a truth seeker is automatically denied credibility? it should do the opposite?? it should inspire us.

[edit on 8-6-2010 by nltkn]

Because there are plenty of wackos out there who spew nothing but pure nonsense out of their mouths. Good example: Glenn Beck.

Who knows if this is credible or not. Fear mongering is a great way to get attention. Good example: Glenn Beck.

Who knows, in time we will know though.

[edit on 8-6-2010 by GorehoundLarry]

Glenn Beck may be a little nutty sometimes but at least he puts the info out there unlike some of the other media outlets. Plus go ahead and do the research on the stuff he provides, more often then not you will find it backed up with truth. Like a previous poster said the media is gonna tell you the story as to how they or their bosses see fit. What this country and world needs is a media outlet that isn't controlled by the almighty big wigs. Hey kinda like ATS, I'd have to say on a daily basis I find more factual info on this site and better reporting than on most media sites. And GorehoundLarry there is way more fear mongering here than anywhere else in the world, so far today the world is gonna end soon 6 times now according to most stories posted. Stories that get flagged repeatedly even though common sense tells most people that it just isn't so.

This catastrophy i feel is just for us sheeple to shock and auh, so we all stay distracted cause something else that is about to happen. I feel the UNITED NATIONS FEDERATION CONSORTIUM UNION is up to no good. Why is this problem taking so long? Why are we being shut up? Something wicked come this way and i wonder what it is, and who is behind it.

Glenn Beck and Truth = oxymoron.

Fox is full of fear mongering..it's good for ratings. ATS? This site has been raped with fear mongering for a while now...in fact, it's how ATS still exists. Where would the owners be without severe paranoia, mental illness and delusional human beings? Well, I'll tell you they wouldn't have this site to run, that's for sure.

We aren't being shut up.
It's taking so long because it's a complicated "learn as you go" process. I know, plugging a leak or two sounds simplistic but it's not hunny buns. Also, when the leaks are fixed (if they're fixed) you have the beaches to clean up and the thousand feet long oil plumes that plague the Gulf.

I see. So your thoughts is just to think everything is going good because the guys who caused the spill say it is?

We are all delusional because we want the truth? My friend, you are delusional for not asking for the truth. I am glad you live in an optimistic bubble where nothing can go wrong, but welcome to the real world.

I have an idea.

Anyone within a few miles of the area and who has some money, you could buy a civilian UAV/MAV from MicroDrones.com. Launch it, fly it to the location, and take aerial photographs and video footage. Im sure one person could afford one of these, especially those that have been given the "hush" money. 3 grand a day, you could buy a few Civi-UAVs

Its well worth it and a great idea.

An excellent idea! Only trouble would be frequencies set to jam them.

I will have to agree with that. Man I wish I could manufacture and sell paranoia and fear mongering, seems it would be a profitable business!!!

What on earth are you rambling about? Not once did I say the situation is clear nor good..I'm the governor of Louisana

Seriously though, I think you missed the point of my post entirely which is about how fear = ratings/fans/viewers/listeners/etc.

Also, I'm one of the biggest supporters of bringing BP to justice. Read my post again before you judge so quickly and wrongly. Thanks bud.

In the waters off Grand Isle, La., members of the United Pentecostal Church of Gretna, La., watch as Pastor Vidal Galvez baptizes two members of his church. He and his followers intended to go to the public beach, but it was closed due to the oil spill. The bay waters are still considered safe for swimming and fishing. (Carolyn Cole / Los Angeles Times / May 23, 2010)

www.latimes.com...

Quite a controversial description. The bay waters "still considered safe for swimming" but "it was closed due to the oil spill."

In MSM we trust!

I'll repeat once again..I'm watching MSNBC right now...they're not saying anything pretty about this mess. They seem to be the ONLY MSM outlet that's doing this situation justice and showing us the truth..well, mostly the truth.

Meanwhile over at Fox....

Even a month ago I realized this is bigger than Chernobyl. Media is clearly playing this down.

Here is how Russians solved their gas leak back in the sixties. It can be solved. Then, why not?

The use of nuclear ANYTHING is a horrible idea. Also, this is a different situation. The leaks down there NEED to be sealed shut. Imagine a well breaking and oil flying up everywhere and is unable to stop. That's what happening here. You can't just shut it off however due to the risk of causing an explosion and More leaks...which of course would be even more devastating to the Gulf and perhaps the rest of the oceans.

I know..Bruce Willis nuked an asteroid. Why can't we nuke an oil leak?

Also, in terms of human devastation, this is not as severe as Chernobyl....at least not yet.

There needs to be a back up emergency incase these situations happen. Well, guess what? It happened and now no one has no idea how to fix it.

Should BP be responsible for this? You damn right. But how do they fix this crisis? They spend millions on COMMERCIALS claiming that things are "okay."

Ask Fox how to get involved with fear mongering! Or...send a PM to the site owners of ATS.

I'm not running around screaming the sky is falling, I'm not crying wolf.
I'm just saying we are under attack. How can we just sit when the corruption we know of, is a strong indicator that we are being set-up? If we put all the people in charge right now behind bars. Replaced them with 5th graders. We couldn't possibly do any worse.
