**Israel agrees to International Investigation of Ship Seizure!!!

Israel’s Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has said that he has no objections to an international investigation into the incident around the recent boarding of a Freedom Flotilla ship by Israeli commandoes.

The RBC business TV channel quotes Lieberman as saying that Israel has nothing to conceal and that it will not object to the presence of a foreign official on the commission that will inquire into the incident

The Israeli ambassador to the United States said earlier that Tel Aviv was dead against an international investigation of the circumstances, in which the ships were detained, and that Israel would conduct its own investigation.

Well, there you go all you anti-Israel folks. They stepped up to the plate and said Bring it!

Maybe they aren't so afraid of the facts after all? Hmmmm? Time will tell but I think it is ever apparent this was a starged ordeal-until Israel ended it AFTER they were attacked.

Now Iran is sending 2 of it's Naval ships to assist. LOL. GAME ON!!! Just in time for Summer.

It's a bit late ( what would have happened if the russians would have refused others to investigate the polish plane crash at first and change their mind after a couple of days) but it's nonetheless a step forward

Whether we'll seriously learn anything from it remains to be seen.

Israel has allowed international observers in some instances. Although it also has a habit of attacking those observers.

Iserial knocked out comunications on the ship apart from a upload satalight link that proved they were firing on the ship before they stormed it so if they had nothing to hide then why do this and why seize film footage from the film crews and what about the missing night vision fottage they removed.

Here we can see how the cowards in iserail deal with OAP's so all that will come out of any open investigation into the ilegal attack in international waters against a NATO member will be more bad news for iserail.



Facts are iserail has commited international war crimes and this time they are not going to be allowed to get away with it and it's not just the Muslim world that is upset but most the western world who are intent on seeing justice done.

Exactly... there's a massive difference between a totally impartial investigation done completely by a third party and the addition of one foreign observer that will easily be hoodwinked.

The people on the flotilla "peace" mission gathering their weapons and coordinating their plan to attack soldiers. Did you not watch video after video?

Most of the Anti Israel bunch will defend the passengers on their mission of "love and harmony"

Israel knows they have nothing to hide and acted in accordance! Everyone of the attackers on the flotilla put the lives of the innocent if there were any in jeopardy.

Why even bother?

Most of the ones who are crying for this investigation will not be happy unless Israel is found in the wrong. If it is found that Israel is innocent of any wrong doings then the anti Israel crowd on ATS will just call shenaniggins.

And to be perfectly honest. Even if Israel was found in the wrong anyone that actually pointed that out might be perceived as being anti-semetic and it would come to nothing because of US support.

Until such time as the US decides to rid itself of Israel as an ally in the same fashion it did with Iraq and Afghanistan, we're stuck with you.

This minor concession will not satisfy Turkey, which will continue to pursue an international commission with Ban-ki Moon's support. Any UN investigation, especially one vetted by Turkey (the plaintiff) will likely contain a large number of Muslim states, as these make up the majority in the General Assembly. It is likely to be a serious investigation along the lines of Hans Blix's visit to Iraq: the Muslim world stands a lot to gain by exposing Israel's crimes; Israel is symbolic of Western-Christian oppression of the Muslim world, and it is of the utmost importance to defeat them on the grounds of human rights abuses. Israel is stalling and delaying the inevitable, inevitable only because there are no politicians in Israel willing to compromise.

I doubt you got it right, considering I don't actually care about either side. And secretly wish they'd hurry up and get killing eachother over and done with so people can focus on something a little more interesting.

From the perspective of someone that lives in a Commonwealth nation, I rather view the region as children pretending to be adults. Mimicking what real countries do on the world stage in some cute, but pathetic attempt to be like us or gain some kind of validation from us.

You'll certainly get none of that from me. And neither will the Palestinians.

Don't be like that. There isn't any reason to take issues like this personally. It's not like they actually matter.

Besides even though we may not see eye to eye on the ability of Israel to investigate itself with any impartiality whatsoever, I may find some of your views on other topics interesting.

Maybe we should look at this discussion a different way. Pretend you're Israel. What would you like the findings of your investigation into yourself to be?

Nine people were murded so what do you think the verdict should be ?

Yes i know they tried to smuggle about 50 catapults aboard and ten knifes but thats no much for 600 passengers when they are up against machine guns.

People do have a right to defend themselves however the responce was OTT and iserail must not only be brought to justice but american must remove the nukes it gave iserail and at that iserail so consider they have got off lightly given that everyone in the world apart from america has turned against them.

Actually I dont think Israel got its nukes from the US, I believe France helped them . Although they do get a great deal of weapons from them.
