I think the capturing an alien spacecraft is going the wrong way, the future of proving the existence of alien is in space tourism, my main reasons
are as follows...
1) There have been numerous reports of alien craft following us on visits to the moon and also of aliens using the moon as a base. By developing
private spacecraft there is a good chance the aliens would be curious in our craft.
2) Any video and telemetry recorded by a multi-million pound private spacecraft would have an increased amount of credibility and the fact that
average (well rich) people and the worlds media could could gain passage to view would force disclosure.
3) It's likely that any government would disclose before a private spaceship was launched so as to control information.
4) An investor would likely get a long term return as oppose to risking ridicule by financing an assault on an alien craft.
5) Richard Branson has already started on this with his Virgin Galactic business - how long before someone ( decides to go that bit further? next up
full orbit craft - private space station/hotel - moon orbit - private moon base/hotel.
6) Its a lot less messy, perfectly legal and stops you causing an intergalactic war :-D
