Beck has once again made himself the center of attention in the madness that is media hyperbole.

He is inciting damage by association by bringing attention to Saudi Prince, Alwaleed Bin Tala Alsaud, and painting him as representative of the Saudi's who hijacked the planes on 911. Then Beck points out the fact that Awlaleed turned his back and blamed US policies for the attack.

My point is not whether what he is saying is the truth, because it is, but the fact that he is mocking and provoking someone who has such interest in the company. Murdoch has additional business ties with Awlaleed:

PRINCE ALWALEED: THE PRINCE AND THE PORTFOLIO

Alwaleed told TIME that he now owns about 5% of News Corp., the global media conglomerate run by Rupert Murdoch, making him the second largest individual holder, behind Murdoch. Alwaleed also bought some 5% of Web-browser maker Netscape Communications, and a chunk of chip and cell-phone maker Motorola.

Excerpt From Beck Show

Claiming that the U.S. would have acted similarly to Israel in raiding the Gaza aid flotilla, Beck on Thursday afternoon drew an usual analogy between the disastrous military operation that left nine activists dead and the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks.
"Didn't we almost kind of do that?" he asked. "Right after 9/11, when Rudy Giuliani-- do you remember? Saudi Arabia came and said, 'We wanna help!'"
Beck motioned toward a large graphic on a screen behind him.
"This guy came over and said, 'I wanna give you a $10 million check.' Rudy Giuliani said, 'Ya see that over there? I don't think we want your help. You already sent us help, and you flew that help into the plane-- into the trade centers.'
"The same Prince later blamed the U.S. policy for the attacks," Beck dramatically concluded.

Has Beck lost his mind? Surely he got permission to speak as he did, right? I mean one just doesn't up and put their own provider in such light, do they?
Who knows, perhaps Beck has so much money he doesn't care, or maybe his contract is ending and he may not be getting it renewed, so he is going out with a bang.

Peace

I'm no supporter of Beck but it seems like the last few things I have seen mentioned about him he has said some weird things.

I am really surprised, he doesn't seem to be playing by their rules but of course he has to have had gotten approval to say things like this it seems and that really doesn't seem to make sense.

Well, when you are busy climbing the heights of scenery-chewing like Glenn Beck has dedicated himself to, you can't back down, ever. If that means that he has no other choice but to grab the brass ring and shove it down somebody's throat, and that somebody is the one person to whom he absolutely should not behave in such a way, then all there is for us to do is pop some popcorn and chuckle while he falls from grace.

If Beck is sooooo wrong people then PROVE IT.
He reports on things other won't.
The reason people hate him is he won't lie and he won't hide the truth.
The things Beck has uncovered and shared with the US are things that every journalist is asking in their heart but to scared or to stupid to ask.
You want to shut Beck up.
Start asking the CNNs and MSNBCs of this country why they won't report on the tough items.
As far as I know the 1st amendment hasn't be overturned YET.
So he is free to voice his view in any way possible just like that 89 year old witch in the press pool.
What a joke she is...LOL

Hell even my mom can do that.

She used to practice in front of the mirror, and played that trick on my dad in court when I was a kid.

The judge kicked me out for shaking my head in disgust.

LOL ok I'll give you that Beck brings up good points now an then and I think you'll get agreement on that from most people. The problem is that he then has to twist it into weirdness or attack anyone who isn't a right wing republican or tea partier afterwards just because he feels like it. It's these twists that cause him to lose all credability. Just an edit to add that he never reports on anything about the right or the republicans. He only uncovers stuff done by the left or the democrats. Isn't that just a little twisted. Both sides are usually equally to blame for most of our messes these days.

But ofcourse; anything to take the blame off his beloved Israel and Mossad working alongside our own government, providing yet another straw man for the sheople to rally against. I don't see how he's really "bitten the hand that feeds him" at all; he's simply changing his strategy, but is still a shill nonetheless. Besides; he only changed his story recently, and toted the "official" explanation until almost everyone has come to disbelieve and find it ludicrous. He's simply doing this to maintain favor with the would be 'dissenters' he's paid to divert from the real sources of the problem.

For one Beck claimed Obama is a "racist" who "has a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture". Not only is he wrong there is no such thing as the "white culture" unless you happen to be a racist yourself.

In a previous thread on this board, somebody provided me with some fake quotes without providing a link to where he found them to try to prove the case that Beck was right that Obama is a racist and was summarily shot down.

I could go on about the man, but that is a glaring lie by Glenn Beck. One that was said to further divide the country.

I would say the mockery is done by himself, mocking a more sensationalist angle on his own deliverance. He is the one that tries to draw the viewer into his "authenticity," by crying over what he is reporting. I think the point with the "crying" video is to show how big a part of crying is to his game in drawing sympathy and ratings, which he is of course free to do, but that doesn't mean we have to buy/like it, that's all I'm sayin'.

Maybe your right, it is out of context for my posting, but I thought it would add some testament to his, imo, madness and psycho talk.

I must ask one thing and that is do you see what is happening here? If he was doing what every other news person was doing you wouldn't even talk about him. He is making people talk about his show and people tune in just to see what he may say next. I would guess that Fox let's him say his peace. They understand his way of thinking and they may not agree with his views they understand the 1st amendment. So you don't have to like his views but people tune in and he has good ratings. And ratings are what it's all about. Fox has a few people that like to push the limit some more than others. If you remember back in the day Geraldo Rivera was quite controversial on some issues. Bill Oreily thats all I will say about him. So Beck has his take on things and you like him or you don't you still talk about him and check out his show almost daily so Fox will let him go as long as he keeps the ratings up. CNN and MSNBC cannot get the ratings that Fox has been getting lately and it shows.

I agree with you 100%! Thanks for the comment! And yes he certainly has a right to do what he does, as we certainly have the right to like it or not and comment accordingly.

Yes, I too used to watch him just to hear what he had to say, but then I started realizing his popularity and power of influence on society, and that is where I got turned off.

It is in my OPINION, that he, like so many of the talking heads, are more a part of the problem than solution, creating bitter divisiveness amongst the masses.

I agree too that Fox probably gives him some wiggle room, but to make an accusation of your biggest investor, as responsible for the biggest catastrophe of recent times, that, additionally is steeped in conspiracy.....well, I guess it does make for good ratings!

I would bet that he does have to get certain things ok'd before he talks about them on his show. I kind of think its funny when you get him and oreilly together you just do not know what will happen. There are some people who think he is just someone who is talking crazy, but his views have always been this way. He is very passionate about his views and I don't think people know how handle someone that has been thinking outside the box for very long time.

Yes it is interesting to watch him and Oreilly talk together, you can see the respect given and taken, you can also sense a bit of reservation on Glen's part as well as a "ready to redirect" notion on the tip of Bill's mind.

I won't deny the man is knowledgeable, and may I modify my qualifying him as crazy. I guess I mean the context of his messages/opinions seem outlandish and harmful. It isn't necessarily the substance of what he says as much as what situation he applies it to.

Yes, I think he is passionate, but I think it is for the show more than anything. I appreciate the "out of the box" notion too, for he certainly represents that, but it is the fear and paranoia exploitation fueled by his innuendos, and misplaced facts that bug me out.

Again to each their own and your right, it keeps people talking....
Peace
