This planet of ours never ceases to amaze and inspire! I ran across David Attenboro's work with Birds of Paradise and I felt compelled to share their beauty. I have include some other species too that I have never seen. There are also a few videos would encourage you to take a look at, truly bizarre courtship rituals. The Lyre bird blew me away with it's sounds!

These pics and other poster's nature pics are some of the few things that bring the song What A Wonderful World back into my mind.

Enjoy,
Peace

Nice I like birds, I feed our local birds bread every couple days right out side my house.

They love it.

Thanks for the nice pictures.

Beautiful

I really needed that. Thanks.

Isn't absolutely amazing. The courtship these birds offer to win over the ladies.

If I'm correct there is even one that does the Moon Walk.

The video of the Lyre bird... is amazing!! How he mimicks the sounds of a camera and a car alarm and construction is absolutely out of this world!

Thanks for sharing all this wonderful information!

How about me doing the opposite and ruin your day ?

Not intentional but for a greater purpose.

Please read this thread I made called : The Shocking Reality of Modern Day Extinction.

Realize what it means and spread the word. Make people open their eyes.
In the not so distant future it could very well be to late, if it isn't already.

The only things left will be pictures. Unless some religious foolishness will cause the burning of books again.

The solution is already thought of you can read that here : The way people should live.

For your birds and our children ?

Peace.

You are not ruining my day, just serving us a dose of reality to keep us aware, and I appreciate it!

Kudos on the 2 postings you reference, your diligence and thoroughness are appreciated and your perspective on "how to live" is very useful. I have not the time to read it all right now, but I will this evening. I will share your work as well.

Peace

Thanks.

A little bump would mean a lot.

Ever since the Oil leak your lucky a threads stays in the list for more then a day.

With spreading I meant the links and info in them to people outside of ATS.
Not the thread in particular. Although that would be nice to.

Pleas watch the video I posted in a reply. It is how we destroyed the oceans.

The Lyre bird is amazing. Sounded like it even caught the echoes of the construction work.

Here's another video "Superb Lyrebird imitating construction work - Adelaide Zoo" This one imitates construction, monkeys, walkie talkie chatter, people whistling and saying "how ya doin?" pretty awesome.

Love-birds.
We have 3 nesting pairs of toucans I'm watching closely.
The trust is mutual.
My bananas and plantain.....an offering of sorts.

Ditto, etc. for the butterflies and the bees.

There are resident Jaguar on the land.
He has night shift, I have the day.

There are howler monkeys howling about all the towering monkey apple, fig trees..... bananas, plantain and much more.
We pay tribute For their company.

My favorite pass-time is floating with my back atop the water awaiting natures chorus at dawn and dusk echo throughout a lAgoon.

Nature heals and re-vigors the Soul.
By intelligent design.
It works, as it should and could.
