Last night i practiced sun gazing...

So last night, am asleep dreaming, like a normal person. During my dream i had someone in my dream start to teach me how to interpret dreams. It is hard for me to recall the events exactly, the thing that stands out the most to me is the part where this person told me, "this is how you interpret your dream". The next part of the dream, "they" asked me about om mani padme hum, they also noted that this was good that i was practicing this and to continue to do it.

This may be a result of the sun gazing in combination with the meditation i am not sure.

Has anyone else had this happen? What did you make of it?

That's hilarious. I love that sort of thing. Sometimes my dreams make inside jokes that reference each other. You should start a dream journal and every time you can remember your dreams, write them down with the date. I have one I started in high school (some ten plus years ago) and only now do I understand some of the dreams I had back then.

Your subconscious is trying to communicate with you. Enjoy what you learn

I find myself trying to do this regularly, when I am sleeping. Trying to figure out what my dream means, while in a dream.

I take it for meaning, that I haven't figured out life, yet. In life.

Dreams are an extension of what you live in your waking life.

Here is an entry from my dream journal dated November 18, 1998:

First I dreamed that someone was telling me to listen to my dreams. They said that I should pay close attention, because the things I dream about while I'm asleep could come true.

Then the entry talks about a dream about another Iraq war. :/

What a coincidence, last night I dreamt I was dreaming a fantastic dream where I was being taught about the solar system questions I had been pondering, still in the dream I woke up and began writing the dream in my dream journal and began thinking about it and other dreams id had. Then I began dreaming about having my morning coffee and going on ats and reading about the significance of the dream having occured at about 6am on the 6th day of the sixth month. After a couple more dreams I woke up for real and began writing the actual dream into my dream journal including what I dreamt I wrote while still in the dream. It really was a dream within a dream, where I then pondered dreaming while still dreaming.

The nature of the dream within the dream was one of the deep being taught somehing by the universe type. In these dreams I dont even know im human, im just a field of consciousness talking to the creation and recieving a telepathic type download to my questions about reality, illusions, consciousness, love and oneness. Often I am floating in a place of golden white light, for the one I had last night I was flying all around the solar system at times I was the solar system itslef, I could feel the planets and was sent stunning insight on their personalities (yes, they are alive) and their song interwoven in the harmony of the infinite creator. Concepts beyond words that for sure, for starters no words are used in these telpathic type teach/learning sessions it is all done with thoughtforms.

Btw, I sungaze and meditate regularly.

What does sungaze mean? I've never heard of that before.

I go to "dream school" too.
Those are the most interesting dreams! I also have a dream doctor who gives me medical advice. lol Yes, I follow my dream doctor's advice. My husband thought I was crazy when I told him that I follow medical advice from a dream.

Om mani padme hum is a buddhus tibet chant.

Sungazing is simply looking at the sun, only ever near sunset or sunrise when the UV returns to zero. You start out with only a few seconds then build up gradually. HRM claims he hasnt eaten in 15 years cuz he gets all his energy from the sun, he even allowed teams of doctors and scientists to moniter him for hundered of days. But a better benefit than physical and spiritual energy is the insight it gives a person. The sun was worshipped by ancient man for much more than the light it gives to crops. There has been much fear generated by myths that looking into the sun is always harmfull, TPTB dont want you to know the amazing things that happen when you begin gazing at that heavenly body that supplies energy to all of earth without demandning anything in return.

Your not crazy at all to listen to a dream doctor, rather wise actually. For the body is merely a projection of the mind or consciousness. A healthy mind means a healthy body, and your own subconscious mind knows far more about whats wrong with it than another person like a doctor.

Thank you, Polarwarrior. Do you have any online or book info you would recommend on the subject? I'm very interested in researching this further.

You should try lucid dreaming.

Lucid Dreaming

A lucid dream is a dream in which the sleeper is aware that it is dreaming. A lucid dreamer can actively participate in and manipulate imaginary experiences in the dream environment. Lucid dreams can seem extremely real and vivid, depending on a person's level of self-awareness during the lucid dream

It's something I've tried to get into, but I haven't been really able to get myself into it the way I need to.

I have tried it in the past but it has never been something of focus. I am kind of just waiting for it to happen. Although i will say there has been times when i have been fully aware for certain choices and aspects of the dream though.

Lucid dreaming is the best. You have to decide what you want to ask for while you're awake though. In my experience, when dreaming, I'm just not with it enough to plan what to do next unless I've decided beforehand.

If you realize you are in a dream, you can ask to talk to the "boss" directly (your subconscious.) You can ask for help solving certain problems, or ask for information. You could even ask to talk to another person's subconscious, or to your house plants. You could ask to go anywhere in time or in the world.

One book I read said that a trick to having more lucid dreams is to ask yourself, even when awake, "Am I dreaming now?" and work out some way to figure it out. For most people, numbers or words are hard to read/change while dreaming, so that can be a sign.

That doesn't work for me, because I can actually read whole words and numbers while dreaming. I do however have trouble dialing the phone while dreaming, for some reason.

The way you describe lucid dreaming makes it sound fun. I have never really been into,
How long has it taken you to achieve success with this?

I don't have them often, and like I say, when I do, I usually can't muster the brainpower to see anything really cool. But I have had a few really great experiences.

Check out www.erinpavlina.com She wrote at length about her experiences lucid dreaming. Hers are very exiting.

Ya I my self have done research on this sort of thing... I believe its a combination of both. Sun Gazing and meditation. I started doing both my self and then i started having extremely vivid and life like dreams. But At the same time while i was dreaming I would start to notice that i was infact in a dream. Any ways I went threw like 6 to 7 months of the same type of dream and that was me flying. ever since they have gotten a little weirder.

One dream a few nights ago lead me to see about 5 other people flying just like i do. So after seeing what they do i approched them and asked them where they learned to do that. One of the gentalmen replied, from you! weve been watching you. But where not as good as you. that kinda made me think how many other are out there like me.

So where im trying to get at with this is keep doing what you are doing. And see where your dreams take you. Oh and try to limit the amount of tv you watch about an hour or so before you goto sleep. Hope this helps. and let us know if anything changes. Or atleast let me know i really curious if im trippin or on to something bigger
