Monitoring your employees again I see.

Is this where your boss gets off on watching his slaves do his bidding?

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/41212e484071.jpg[/atsimg]

A form of voyeuristic porn.

Little brother taking the lead from big brother, no doubt. Our whole society is becomming one big porn flick. And we all know how everyone loves porn.

That's fine the man who writes the check get's to do as he will in his own house.

But it's a bit sick don't you think?

And the really troublesome issue about CCTV and other monitoring devices in the workplace, is that the boss might selectivly edit information, (choice clips) in his favor and pass this information along to his contacts within the devilhood, in order to blackmail his employees at a later date.

Blackmail and extortion is ok by me: Fight fire with fire.

Tip for resistance fighters: You need to fight these people off the grid, using un-orthordox techniques, if you want to win.

Always keep them guessing, never let them rest.

Urgh. Yeah, CCTV is irritating as hell. Especially when my manager did absolutely nothing at all, and everytime I'd come in to start a shift she'd be all "I was watching the camera footage from last night and you didn't do this and that".

It got pretty annoying after a while. We pretty much were slaves.

I ended up getting fired, anyway. I'm just that rad.

Porn for Supervisors.

Porn for Managers

Porn for Owners.

The news media is basically Porn for the Mindless Masses which is used to dominate the few that have been determined to be a threat to the slavemasters.

I'll second the human form comment

I run my CCTV system here but you'll all be happy to know that I only watch exterior doors. Now admittedly if a couple started having sex outside Door 15 (our busiest door) I might take notice but rest assured my gawking would be out of awe and porn addiction

I'm amazed my comment was removed as off-topic, given that the OP has talked in depth about porn addiction...?!?

I was only saying that the previous poster had perhaps set up the comments she made in order to attract attention - if that's not relevant to a topic exclusively about porn addiction then i don't know what is...

M'eh - the thread is dull anyway; one cannot comment much without being billed as off topic I'm sure.

can you please delete my post and stop calling me names. I am not seeking attention I was replaying to the topic. You all don't have to be such jerks about a late night mistake.

Hi NickyBlue

Sorry - was only poking fun in a light-hearted way. I have no ill feeling to anyone; hope you feel better soon. ATS is all about inclusion, and there shouldn't be any room for feeling too down about the things we wish we hadn't written from time to time. I've made some pretty daft comments on here a few times now - chin up..! Please don't think I'm a jerk, as I'm not.

That's a great comment, and a fine example of appropriate use of CCTV. I suppose the human condition means that just as there are some lazy, poor excuses for employees - there will always be some freakish, obsessive employers out there. Perhaps they would have expressed their control in other ways before the dawn of CCTV.

All I'm saying is - I understand and appreciate the need for CCTV, but (especially here in the UK) it tends to be overdone. Leading to the question of whether people get addicted to the monitoring itself... Addiction can manifest in countless ways.
