Cumbria Shooting was to Knock Israel out the Headlines

I honestly think you're grasping at straws here, the figures of people moving away from your typical media outlets to using the internet is very large. Everyone knows(i hope) about the barbaric attack on the aid ship and can quite easily continue to follow it on the net if they so wish. I very much doubt people staged such a dramatic shooting spree just to change the main subject on the MSM....

People who come to this forum will read about what they want to, but there are a lot of people who only get their news from MSM. TV, Newspapers, then there are those who can access the Internet but will only go to MS news sites.

The very fact that for the last week the news here in the UK has basicaly been how the oil spill is going to kill everyone and very recently Israel doing a spot of piracy has basicaly been the only news.

You can understand how various elements within the media would basicaly be praying for something so front page newsworthy to happen as to take attention away from probably the worst enviromental disasters since Chernobyl and Israel murdering people on the high seas.

And here we are, a random shooting, right at the exact moment the media were praying for such a headline.

I personaly think its pretty suspect on account of it being such a coincidence, although the news is generaly bleak, its always varied. But there is no real evidence for why this shooting happend, so meh. Type Dunblane school shooting into google and see the crazy horror of that and then reference the date to anything you might think was being surpressd. You could be onto something, are random shootings lone madmen or is there a direct relation to govermental actions getting buried in this press?

It is definately a conspiracy look: 12 dead + 30 injured = 42. Now if you reverse the numer of dead you get 21. If you multiply that by 42 you get 882. If we now add the thirty injured we get 912. Minus the one gunman and what do we get? 911! Clear proof that the same Israeli's that blew up the twin towers, are behind this taxi driver massacre. Deny ignorance!

Here is what doesn't add up:

--Police are on the scene of the first shooting immediately yet the gunman manages to roam free for 3 1/2 hours shooting 40 more people?

--Shooter described firing a "James Bond" -type sniper rifle with a large scope-where did he get this weapon? Doesn't sound like a .22.

--Shooter's body is found miles from the place he abandoned his car?

--No motive.

I for one am sick of all this Israel Bashing hysteria, whilst the OP is keeping us thinking I guess, there has to be a line drawn .
Demonising Israel is hardly intelligent or rational.
The perpertrator wasnt a jew was he?
The victims werent flotilla activist relatives were they?
So lets lay off israel and respect them.
As we respect other nations , Britain has sinned, so has the USA and every other nation, so we should recognise that Israel is not perfect but neither is it the worst.

To answer your points:

1) Cumbria is a rural area, criss crossed with small country lanes. The first police on the scene where from the local nick, but by the time they had arrived the gunman had already made off in his vehicle. As such, figuring out where he went would be a bit difficult.

2) Large calibre hunting rifles are legal in the UK providing you have a firearms certificate. Also, eye witnesses who have never seen a firearm up close will identify it from what they have seen on TV. So to the untrained eye, even a .22LR rifle fitted with a small scope would look like a "James Bond type sniper rifle".

3) The shooter could have easily walked the distance from the car. having said that, he could have just shot himself in the car and saved him the bother of the walk. Maybe he wanted people to have to search for him?

4) No motive as of yet, and we'll probably never get to know if there is one. Sometimes people just flip out for no reason.

As for the shootings being connected to mossad? Not a chance. To knock the latest Israeli issue off of the news networks they'd have to blow up a large part of London. A taxi driver going postal isn't going to do it.

Some dude wakes up and decides he feels so sorry for the negative flak Israel is suffering over the flotilla incident and people must be punished to take the heat of the rogue state.

He devises a plan to shoot innocent people and then do a number on himself, so gets in his taxi and shoots people around three towns (I think it was three?)


That is the most preposterous theory I have seen in awhile. It is is not even funny...I do not think anyone is laughing.

The shaven-headed description is interesting but it could be easily explained. Derrick Bird could have shaved his head since the photos in the press were taken, or the witness was mistaken. I imagine it is hard to get a good look at someone who might be speeding away in a car or if you are trying to hide yourself from them.

I think it's a huge stretch to say this was planned or orchestrated to distract from Israel. There are witnesses who saw Bird shooting people and he had a number of motives.

Apparently he had been suffering anxiety after being beaten unconcious at work, other drivers were stealing his fares, his mother had cancer and he was involved in a feud over a will with his family.

I think this guy was probably mentally unstable for a while and he finally flipped, nothing more.
