Not really surprising is it? .. I mean to say.. we know the ADL is on ATS, and we know they have posters (probably very active) .. and we know that China has propaganda folks on the boards that only show up when a Chinese thread is started..

Makes sense that Israel would have their people here too.

Megaphone is quite clever. It's not automating responses, it's just helping the fanaticals find somewhere to vent their fustration.

There is no way for ATS or others to prevent this sort of phishing, google works just as well or the same ends. The best part is, they wouldn't even need to pay these fanatics, as they are indeed fanatics.

The bury by numbers is an old game on forums, used by many different groups to advance secret or hidden agendas. Like the masons do here regularly.

Thank you for the interesting info. Hadnt been aware of such software. Had been suspicious as noticed over the past couple years a large number of individuals who support a certain genocidal regime start spouting their rubbish any time they went in and carried out their crimes.. Its happened on a number of sites that Ive seen. Hope you dont mind if I pass your info to friends who had wondered the same as they had noticed it as well.

Just yesterday i was reading posts that they were pro-israel on the raid and i was so angry that i was afraid that if i answered any of them i would be banned from the forum.I almost decided last night to erase my account here because i couldn't believe how people from a forum like ATS would be more fanatical and brainwashed than the ones they usually try to expose.

Today i logged in to erase my account(if that's possible) and the first post i saw was that.Now i feel kind of stupid for falling for this propaganda.My apologies for thinking like that for you guys.

Now i'm gonna stay here and fight them anyway i can.(if i manage to detect them:roll

Can I just point out that these 2 questions are very different. Thinking Israel went too far and thinking action should be taken against them are completely different. This could be the cause of the difference in responses.

As for this Megaphone software. I would say that they have been using something similar to this for a few years now. You will never stop it. Tear it down and another will pop up in it's place.

The whole issue is so politically and racially motivated, that you will always have people on either side willing to implement underhand tactics in order to put their viewpoint forward.

I don't think we should start a witch hunt, these sorts of softwares will always be around. The best we can do is make sure good threads are not taken down from derailment by people using them and to refute these propaganda merchants with the facts. They don't have the truth on their side, only spamming software.

Unlike the folks being alerted by the worldwide caliphate organization or Obama's moveon.org to get on here and deride the Israelis for simply defending their country.

OP, great catch that should come as no huge surprise to anyone.

Just remember, both sides play this game, and witch hunts end up killing more than witches...

Every one of the new members i have seen with a pro-israeli stance on this latest incident is pushing blatant falsehoods. If you need to tell numerous lies to defend your country then maybe people should reconsider why they are defending it's actions in the first place.

Personally I think you are out to lunch...

Point #1: When I look at the amount of pro to anti Israeli posts on ATS it is obvious the the anti-Israeli pundits vastly outnumber the pro-Israeli side. In fact as I browsed through the last few post where Israel was the topic I was actually shocked at the smear campaign being levied against anyone defending Israel.

Point #2: I think the use of this type of software is just fine. Not only does it direct you to subject matter to which you hold a higher interest, it allows people to bypass any subject matter where they do not have any.

Point #3: I have issues with your position to remove those who use this type of software from ATS. It is a very useful tool when you are forced to defend yourself on so many fronts, and I do not blame Israel for going that route when so many convict them online without getting both sides of the story.

I may just search out one of these programs for my home computer.

There is nothing wrong with this software or the people that use it. They simply provide an efficient way to debate certain topics of interest concerning Israel. If ATS users wish to "deny ignorance" you must hear what the other side has to say and debate them. Censorship is not the solution.

WOW! You really believe the Israelis are the liars in this game. Really guy, open your mind to the possibility that maybe your sources of information have a vested interest in propagating lies of their own.

To say that anyone defending Israel is a liar negates any attempt by them of ever defending their position. It defames the very natter of ATS, that is to discuss issues from both sides.

I didn't say that at all. If people would stick to the facts about the incident(as much as we know of right now) and agreed with Israels actions i would respect that but of course would vehemently disagree with it. Conjuring up falsehoods about the incident to try and justify Israels actions is another matter entirely.
