Three Iranian satellites are on the waiting list to be catapulted into outer space as Iran continues to make major strides in the space industry.

Preparations are underway to launch three domestically-made satellites, namely 'Tolou' (Dawn), 'Navid' (Promise) and 'Mesbah 2' (Lantern 2), said a top Iranian space industry official.

"Last year, Tolou, Navid and Mesbah 2 satellites were unveiled, and now they are scheduled to be launched", stated Mehdi Mousavi Badenjani.

"The three satellites are likely to be put into orbit with domestic launchers, but foreign launchers may be called in under certain conditions and due to certain managerial considerations", the official underscored.

Tolou is Iran's first indigenously-manufactured remote sensing satellite, said Mousavi Badenjani, adding Navid is used for academic research purposes.

"… and Mesbah 2 is a telecoms satellite and the improved version of Mesbah 1", he said.

He added several other space projects are predicted to get off the ground in the country this year.

So, Iran is going to send up more sattelites. False flag perhaps? Will Israel and the US claim it's testing rockets for nuclear weapons again?

Europe has it's own GPS sytem that is better than the old american system but america warned europe that they whould shoot the satalites out the sky if we did not turn the system off when told.

if this is how america treats it's freinds then does it deserve any freinds at all ?

We are always being told by the states propaganda machine that Iran is so far behind that we can crush it like a fly but i'm not so sure myself.

This is more political, as satellites have been around for decades, and there's nothing, technologically special, about Iranian satellites...
Iran could look to Russia, Japan, Europe ect to supply them with satellites, and it would undoubtedly be much cheaper. Likewise Russia was willing to supply all of Iran's nuclear fuel, if only Iran gave up enrichment. www.timesonline.co.uk...
But No!!! Iran needs to be able to do everything itself. There are only two ways of looking at it: Either they fear the rest of the world will gang up on them, when the economic climate is right for Washington. This is a reasonable point, as they're hardly the world's most popular nation.

Or they want to develop a weapons capability (also a reasonable point, as both the Democrats and Republicans seem to think that if Iran isn't, then it should be!)
Although maybe not. Iran isn't (currently) breaking the law by becoming a Stand Bye Nuclear Power, with Standby Intercontinental Satellite Weapons Abilities.

Whenever Iran does decide to create a bomb (and actually break international law), all the preparations for war will already be in place.

As a precaution I have to make a prediction, since we all know how those turn out. (oh, and if you don't know, even if its scheduled to happen, predict it and your sure to be wrong...just an FYI)

"Iran's satelites appear to have nuclear devices aboard" - MSM
They will be shot down, Iran will retaliate.
After the event, MSM will release that the satelites were nuclear powered.
The first sentance, and the last will be the lies, the war, will not.

Whew, I think I just divereted WWIII, for a month.

edit to replace TPTB with MSM
