World wide US Military involvement question...

Will the U.S always have an involvement in all major current and future wars?

If NK attacks SK, U.S will be there... Same with Israel or Japan or UK or Germany etc..
I do realize these are all allied countries, but my bigger question was if China and Russia had a border conflict into all out war, would the U.S intervene if no NATO countries got involved?...

Probably not. Why should they. There are conflicts and wars going on all over the place and have been for years. The loss of live makes Iraq and Afghanistan look like a polite picnic.

Just because you don't hear about current wars and conflicts, does not mean that they are not happening.

The US will get themselves involved in wars when it suits them. This always been the case. Their involvement usually means they are on the winning side and this often means they sit on the sidelines making sure they back the winning horse (WW1, WW2 for example).

Regardless of your views on Iraq and Afghanistan, I think the US will now become more isolationist preferring not to be pilloried for taking the initiative, although they may take a leaf out of the UKs book and unilaterally get involved in UN missions when the “cause is just” and where thy can make a decisive positive impact – e.g. UK in Sierra Leone 2000. This will recast the US as a "nice guy" - surely one of Obama's job objectives.

If Israel is attacked I doubt the US "would be there", although it depends on the circumstances. Currently, Israel is the master of its own fate and that is that.

If war blew up between Russia and China (very unlikely), then that would be a classic case of watching your competitors destroy each other, so why intervene.

America is doing a very good job of self destructing right now.

Financial collapse, and the total collapse of morality and law and order will plunge America into a dark age.
The American love of weaponry and deadly force will ensure that peace can never again be restored.

Something to understand is that those who influence the United States interests will convey whatever they need to maintain those interests. Whether you want to call that political, Geo-political, economical, moral, ect. (whatever to save face...).

The United States is in a bear trap due to its deep rooted foreign policy of playing big brother, trying to do the right thing and help the little guy out.

On the other hand you have the "interests" that always seem to but heads with "emotional" foreign policies. Whats cost effective in the long run, ect.

How will our allies/enemies view this move, so on and so forth.

Thats the problem with being a "super-power".

Everyone can say we are brainwashed, and whatever.

It's easy to say that about a country you don't live in or are even a citizen of. To read whatever you can find on Google and see/hear on CNN or BBC, ect.

It's a monster really. Theres no saying how, if, why, or when.

Military-ally, politically, economically?

America is one of the few countries that in it's short existence has gone through civil war, economic collapse, and more and come out alive and even stronger.

You don't see as many people anywhere willing trying to go to any other country like they are America, why is that?

The human race is self-destructive. We try to kill each other off and just use religion, economics, politics, and whatever else to try and justify it. This is nothing new.

When I was a teen in high school back in the 50,s We use to hear talk back then that someday the U.S and the USSR will link up to combat China. I believe it was before they started to limit their people from having more than one child. They, the Chinese were not very good at growing enough food to sustain their own people.

Well things have change and I do not believe this is any longer the case.

We have thousands of troops already in SK, they have been there since the cease fire. The war never ended between the NK And SK it just stopped at the 38th parralell.

If Red China were to launch a full scale attack on Russia, in my opinion no one would win that war it will fall under the category of MAD or mutually assured distruction.

I believe we will go to SK to support our troops already there and we will go to Israel's aid because They are they only Democartice state in the whole the Islamic reagion......KMG

With regards to the US involvement in seemingly every country abroad, you can thank business interests. Sure we try help the downtrodden as we should. However, there are a lot of places in the world in need of help we ignore because there are no crucial resources there. I remember when Rwanda was happening and the UN argued if it was technically genocide or not until everyone who was going to get killed was killed. What do you think would have happened if they had the oil reserves of let's say, Kuwait?

I do not buy America is destroying herself. Is she currently in a drunken stupor, stumbling over the curb, and falling into the street? Well, maybe. She needs to start listening to some better influences.

I have said it before and I will say it again Democracy and Freedom are NOT natural end states for human endeavor. What you see in failed states in Africa/South America or the chaos of the middle ages in Europe is closer to "natural". It is pretty good here so let's not throw the baby out with the bath water.

You literally make no sense... You are not even American, what the hell do you really know about what is going on in our country other than watching the NEWS which reports nothing but horrible things that are happening.....

It may not be Obama, it may be the President after Obama.

But martial law is coming. Clinton started it with all these outrageous executive orders, Bush built on that, and Obama has reinforced it even more.

It can all mean only one thing. What you have now is a functional dictatorship in America, where neither the President, or the traitor Pelosi listen to the people or follow the spirit of the Constitution.

And if you seriously believe that no US soldier would ever fire upon a fellow American.
Then you probably also believe no Law Enforcement officer would ever beat, or shoot a fellow American either. That would be just as un-American.

Trust me, when the rioting and the looting start, there will be gunfire murder and arson everywhere, just like New Orleans during Katrina.

Why is martial law coming? What is so significant about it?? The only way martial law will EVER come into play is if our entire Government is assassinated or something huge happens. Well nothing is in the works and nothing is going to happen, you guys need to get out more and stop living in fear of things that will never come to pass. I think it's doesn't matter which nations based on allies. One of them start will lead to WWIII and that lead to nuclear war. If China and Russia decide to start war, then USA will involve as "Coach". When that happen, both nations will turn to USA's soil with nuclear bombs. In past history, USA always interfere with other nations' war.

That has happen almost every war since WWI. Since China and Russia are part of three large nations included USA. It's not wise to interfere their war if we think they are unjust. Instead, it will be nasty war that USA didn't even start the war. Speculation or not, we can see what situation can go. It's not that hard.

we interfered when Russia and Georgia were going at it for a bit. But I bet you didn't know that did you. Now you do, I was there on a peace keeping mission. So you would be wrong
